After Earth fell into the Abyss, Lin Hao survived in a displaced residential district by stockpiling food and water, then discovered that his equipment interface could enchant his attacks with a treasured iron pot. He learned that humanity would need to gather wish power from other worlds, and prepared to face the dangers outside his apartment.
Lin Hao trained and waited as madmen trapped him inside his apartment building, then decided to confront the couple harassing him. He killed them both and began planning to gather his supplies and move somewhere cleaner.
Lin Hao searched the dead couple’s bedroom, found valuable gold jewelry, and planned to gather useful equipment and supplies before investigating the guesthouse and the seventeenth floor. As he prepared to leave, he knocked on Xiao Wen’s door, while Zhao Xiaowen mistook his voice for another madman.
Lin Hao broke into Zhao Xiaowen’s barricaded room to confirm she was alive, then told her he had killed the two mad roommates and planned to scout for a cleaner place. Zhao Xiaowen offered him her yoga outfit in exchange for his help and protection, while Lin Hao noticed it had valuable supernatural properties.
Lin Hao accepted Zhao Xiaowen’s offer to work together and took her attribute-bearing dumbbell as equipment. After testing it, he discovered that its added weight made his attacks powerful but taxing, and he prepared to rely on Zhao Xiaowen as an ally while they survived the apocalypse.
Lin Hao searched his apartment corridor, killed two Madmen who attacked him, and began checking the other apartments for survivors and supplies. Zhao Xiaowen watched from behind her locked door and prepared herself to stay close to Lin Hao.
Lin Hao searched an apartment, then drew Madmen toward himself while clearing the building floor by floor. After killing another Madman on the twenty-fifth floor, he began opening the guesthouse rooms with key cards taken from the suspicious survivors downstairs.
Lin Hao scavenged supplies from an empty room and discovered radio broadcasts from survivor settlements, learning that people had fallen into the Abyss at different times and were establishing bases in other worlds. He continued searching the twenty-fifth floor while listening for useful information.
Lin Hao searched the hotel’s upper floors for supplies and encountered three armed men who tried to rob him. After killing them, he waited for the Madmen drawn by the noise, and one charged up the stairs toward him.
Lin Hao equipped a protective helmet and Mink Coat after killing the men and Madmen on the stairs, then searched the twenty-fourth floor. He rescued Nie Yi, a receptionist who had been bound and assaulted, and warned her to stay quiet so they would not attract more danger.
Lin Hao returned from the twenty-fourth floor after rescuing Nie Yi, who wanted to join him, but he refused to take her along. Back in Zhao Xiaowen’s room, he rested before a neighbor knocked to ask for medicine for his feverish son, giving Lin Hao a chance to trade ibuprofen for a temporary base.
Lin Hao brought Nie Yi into his room after she carried supplies down from the hotel, and began considering who he could trust as a teammate. As night fell over the Abyss rainforest, he planned to find a locksmith downstairs the next day and left Zhao Xiaowen and Nie Yi to sleep safely in the room.
Lin Hao woke beside Zhao Xiaowen and Nie Yi, then searched his way down to the seventeenth floor for supplies and a locksmith. There he encountered armed men from the Night Jasmine Fitness Center and suspected they had come for the same locksmith, leaving his condition unknown.
Lin Hao rejected Brother Ji’s recruitment and fought the club members who tried to kill him for his equipment. He killed Brother Ji and three others, then chased the last survivor to stop him from raising the alarm.
Lin Hao survived a fight with Madmen and killed the man who had lured him into an ambush, then reflected on his mistakes and searched Brother Ji’s corpse. He equipped Brother Ji’s workout gear and sneakers, gaining several explosive-power traits as he prepared to improve his equipment further.
After Lin Hao defeated Brother Ji’s group, he brought locksmith Yi Feng back to Room 2318 and considered whether to trust him. A university-town broadcast revealed threats from Lizardmen and possible hidden dangers in Great Qi, leaving Lin Hao more determined to prepare before taking risks.
Lin Hao led a group to loot the empty apartments on the twenty-third floor, gathering supplies and sharing food with Zhou Feng. As they finished, a resident accused them of stealing and rallied the other survivors to demand a share.
Lin Hao killed Zhong Yong after Zhong tried to rally the survivors to seize Lin Hao’s supplies, then offered the others a way to trade for food. He left with Yi Feng and Zhou Feng to search Zhong Yong’s apartment, where they found and killed a female Madman.
Lin Hao trained under Zhao Xiaowen’s close guidance while his group secured the upper floors and gathered valuable Wish Power items. As his fitness and resources grew, he planned to leave once his rapid early progress slowed.
After a month in the Abyss, Lin Hao and Zhao Xiaowen grew closer during a rainstorm, and Lin Hao unlocked an extra accessory equipment slot. Once the flood receded, Yi Feng told Lin Hao that the flooded clubhouse offered an opportunity to enter the Teleportation Point before Regular Evacuation began.
Lin Hao organized a group to head through the Teleportation Point, relying on their preparations and strength rather than the gym’s permission. As the group finished packing for the journey to the Great Qi World, they prepared to gather evacuation items and return with them.
Lin Hao used Molotov cocktails to force Chen Laohu’s group to let the apartment residents reach the Teleportation Point without paying a toll. When Chen Laohu tried a last-second bow attack, Lin Hao blocked the arrow and his team teleported away after setting the gym’s window ablaze.
Lin Hao and his companions learned that they had arrived near Westwater Village in Great Qi and gathered directions, local history, and information about martial arts. They decided to head for Dam Market first, where Lin Hao hoped to find a martial arts school and equipment with useful skills.
Lin Hao and his companions entered Dam Market and attracted the attention of local beggars and thugs. After Lin Hao frightened off an attempted roadblock, the group decided to seek shelter at the Wu Family Martial Arts School.
Lin Hao and his companions reached Dam Market’s Wu Family Martial Arts School and watched Master Wu mediate a dispute between the Fishing Gang and the Vegetable Gang. Master Wu’s effortless display of skill convinced Incense Master Liu that the school remained too powerful to challenge.
