Richard's unusual behavior immediately caught Kallen's and Memphis's attention. Kallen reached out to grab him, while Memphis appeared in front of Richard in an instant.
But Kallen's hand passed straight through Richard. Immediately afterward, Richard "collided" straight through Memphis's body.
Richard was like a transparent man now, and he kept shouting:
"Slow down, Kallen! I'm coming!"
Their first attempt to stop him failed. Just as Kallen and Memphis prepared to try again, Richard suddenly vanished.

"This is a deception," Memphis said. "Its purpose is to deceive."
With that, Memphis walked toward Neo.
The other squad members had noticed what was happening here as well, and quite a few had witnessed Richard's entire disappearance firsthand.
Although two members of other squads had vanished instantly when they got off the train earlier, the one who had disappeared this time was their own teammate.
If something could happen even like this, who would disappear next?
How were they supposed to guard against it? How could they resist it?
Even the members of the Hound Dogs Squad grew sensitive
