"Captain, why did we come here to go to Corona Island?" Fanny asked.
"I don't know either. Kallen asked us to." Neo stood by the shore and stretched. "I imagine he won't suggest we swim there, unless he's gone mad."
Peige asked, "Is there still time to arrange a boat?"
"There is, but we'd have to go back to York City and board at York Port," Fanny replied.
"Whew..." Peige shrugged. "Forget I said anything."
Just then, two more cars arrived. Gerui and Wende stepped out of the first, and Memphis stepped out of the second.
The captain leaned toward Fanny and asked quietly, "You notified Memphis?"
"Wasn't that your instruction, Captain?"
"Oh, yes, but I didn't expect him to come. Looks like he really enjoys our group activities."
"When Memphis got the message, he agreed right away. But Richard, whom you also asked me to notify, didn't come. Apparently he's injured."
"Oh, it doesn't matter whether Richard comes."
"Captain."
"Captain."
Gerui and Wende walked over.
Memphis came over as well, nodded to Neo, then stood to one side.
"Hey, what kind of car is that?" Peige asked.
Fanny looked over and replied, "Looks like a hearse, and a new model at that."
Peige laughed. "Here to send us Blessing? Why does it look a little familiar?"
Fanny shook her head. "It belongs to the Pavarro Funeral Society. When we took Kallen home last time, it was parked outside."
The hearse arrived, and Alfred got out. He walked up to Neo first.
"Hello, Captain. I'm Kallen's manservant. You can call me Alfred."
Neo nodded to him.
Alfred immediately turned to Fanny. "Miss Fanny, thank you so much for what you did last time."
"You're too kind."
"Miss Peige, you're as wild and beautiful as ever."
"Thank you for the compliment."
