Kallen felt utterly helpless. He pressed his palm against his forehead. This feeling of talking at cross-purposes was agonizing, especially at such a crucial juncture.

Neo picked up a pen and paper from the conference table, wrote a line, and showed it to Kallen.

What comforted Kallen was that, although his auditory hallucinations were severe, they were thankfully only auditory, not visual. The words read:

"Have your auditory hallucinations gotten this bad?"

Kallen nodded and said, "Whenever I hear someone speak to me now, it's all from the God of Order's perspective."

Hearing this, Neo wrote another line: "Very much like that old madman in York City's slums who thinks he's a duke and hands out beer-bottle caps to children as knightly medals."

"You're still in the mood to joke?"

Neo wrote, "Why shouldn't I be? These symptoms preceding your Divine Revelation are so severe they're practically unheard of. That means the Divine Revelation you're about to face will be on a higher level, and the realm it opens up for you will be broader. If we weren't about to fight a war, we should be throwing a party to celebrate."

"Thank you."

Neo wrote, "Does this condition of yours need to be kept secret for now?"

"Keep it secret."

Neo nodded and wrote, "Then shall I have someone bring Kevin over to take a look at you?"

Kallen hesitated, then nodded.

A priest like Blanche could do little about this sort of "intractable condition" of his. Lord Evil God had extensive knowledge and experience; having it examine him would put him somewhat more at ease.

Neo sent a black raven flying out. Before long, Muli arrived with Kevin draped over his shoulder.

"Go back and keep inspecting the battalions. Kevin can come in with me."

"Yes, Regiment Commander Neo."
