Ch. 101God's lie!

Kallen entered Divine Revelation and followed colored threads that revealed how his presence shaped the people around him, but the God of Order’s command plunged him into a freezing darkness. He resisted the command and emerged convinced that order existed before any god declared it, then returned to consciousness.

  • Kallen closed his eyes as the God of Order spoke, and Alfred and Borg guarded him while Bede recognized that he was receiving Divine Revelation.
  • Kallen saw a gray thread connect him to workers and servants following his rules, then saw colored threads link him to the people around him and overwhelm his mind.
  • Kallen found himself alone in a freezing darkness and resisted the repeated command that he must obey the order decreed by God.
  • Puer and Golden Retriever arrived and saw Kallen grimacing in apparent pain, while Bede recalled Dis challenging the idea that gods could not be wrong.
  • Kallen kept moving through the darkness despite his suffering, rejected the God of Order’s offer of salvation, and realized that he questioned divine words because he did not believe in gods.
  • Kallen reached the end of the dark passage and shouted, “Order existed long before you decreed it!” as his consciousness returned.

Ch. 102A painting, a prophecy!

After receiving Divine Revelation, Kallen wrote down questions about the gods and fell asleep, while Mr. Bede painted the scene Kallen wanted him to capture. Bede’s visions of the Allen family’s destined calamity shifted when the black and red paint in his latest painting evaporated, leaving him to wonder whether God could make mistakes.

  • Kallen asked Eunice to give Mr. Bede one of Linda’s paint sets and planned to have him paint the scene from his dream.
  • Puer and the Golden Retriever left Kallen undisturbed, while Alfred stayed to guard him and praised his resolve.
  • Kallen wrote doubts about divine deception and ended with the question of whether he would forbid others from following his path after he became a god, then fell asleep.
  • Mr. Bede painted Kallen receiving Divine Revelation, then uncovered earlier paintings showing Allen Manor’s tragedy, daily life, Linda summoning Rilielsa, and an empty study.
  • Mr. Bede’s spilled black and red paint transformed his new painting into an image of Kallen linked to the others by black vines, but silvery light made the black and red evaporate.
  • Mr. Bede regained his composure and asked whether God could make mistakes too.

Ch. 103Kallen's path

Kallen rejected the God of Order’s revelation and explained that he would examine the Order God Church’s path by living among ordinary people, while preparing to move out of Allen Manor. He then asked Bede to paint the feeling of being deceived by God, and Bede’s finished painting captured opposing visions of corruption and holiness.

  • Kallen told Puer and Alfred that he had not listened to the God of Order’s revelation because he thought it was wrong, and Puer promised to support him in testing his beliefs.
  • Kallen planned to buy an apartment in York City after the Queen’s stay at Allen Manor was settled, bringing Eunice with him and having Borg serve as the manor’s liaison.
  • Kallen and Alfred discussed preparations to awaken Earl Recar, including using the blood of a relative, while Puer and the golden retriever checked the family castle’s formation.
  • Bede returned Kallen’s gift, and Kallen asked him to paint the feeling of discovering that God had deceived people, telling him to leave out his own pain.
  • Bede described how he had kept doubts while gaining the key to his studio, then finished a painting showing a young man and angel divided between contrasting, opposing worlds.

Ch. 104Awaken, Earl Recar!

Kallen and the Allen Family prepared to awaken Earl Recar while Queen Gloria III began a ritual to regain her youth by feeding on the family’s spiritual power. The chapter ended as Kallen invoked the Pirate King, with the Queen’s ritual and Earl Recar’s awakening both underway.

  • Queen Gloria III visited Allen Manor, met the Allen Family, and attended Prince Henry’s memorial before retiring to the clan leader’s master bedroom.
  • Old Anderson, Bede, and Mike found a black cat matching the ancestral portrait; the cat spoke and declared that their ancestors had awakened in anger.
  • Queen Gloria III revealed that she had brought the wounded Judiya as potential blood food and planned to use a Black Seed to regain her youth and freedom.
  • Old Anderson raised the bedroom’s protective formation while Kallen, Mike, Alfred, and Golden Retriever prepared the Pirate Ship Tombstone ritual.
  • Kallen invoked Earl Recar with the blood of his descendants and began the Order-Awakening.

Ch. 105Here I Come, Baby!

Kallen used his awakening ability to resurrect Earl Recar, who emerged from the Allen Family burial chamber and mistook several family members for signs of the clan’s growing power. Kallen sent Earl Recar toward the Ancient Castle by claiming Queen Gloria IX awaited him, leaving the newly awakened pirate king flying toward her bedroom.

  • Kallen summoned Earl Recar, pouring power into the Pirate Ship Tombstone until the chains turned red and the burial chamber cracked open.
  • Earl Recar broke through the chamber and climbed out, while Mike knelt to honor him and Earl Recar dismissed him as a useless collateral descendant.
  • Earl Recar examined Bede and Golden Retriever, praised the family’s supposed strength and church infiltration, then threatened Alfred before Kallen stopped him.
  • Kallen told Earl Recar that Queen Gloria IX awaited him in the Clan Leader’s bedroom, and Earl Recar eagerly flew toward the Ancient Castle.

Ch. 106I'm Going to Kill Him!

Earl Recar defeated Gloria IX after she used the Seed of Light to assimilate the castle’s formations, rescued Judiya, Borg, and Eunice, and explained how death had pushed his water faith system beyond level nine. He recognized that the Allen and Gloria families might be part of an experiment and prepared to help Puer escape while attempting to kill the person behind it.

  • Gloria IX’s Black Roots spread through Allen Castle, but Earl Recar entered the sealed bedroom, killed the old maid, froze Gloria, and destroyed the Seed of Light.
  • Earl Recar freed Judiya from the chest, rescued Borg from the study, and awakened Eunice’s bloodline before bringing all three to Puer.
  • Earl Recar told Puer that dying had transformed his water attribute power, placing him beyond level nine and making him the strongest known practitioner in the family’s history.
  • Earl Recar suspected the Order God Church or Principle God Church was using the Allen and Gloria families for an experiment and identified Judiya, Borg, and Eunice as the family’s hope.
  • Earl Recar told Puer to escape with the three young people while he tried to wound the person behind the experiment, possibly killing him.

Ch. 107Kowtow to Him!

Puer explained Kallen’s extraordinary origins and his loyalty to the Allen Family to Earl Recar, who realized he had misjudged him. As dawn approached and his second life neared its end, Earl Recar decided to kowtow to Kallen.

  • Puer told Earl Recar that Kallen was Dis’s chosen heir, had displaced an evil god during a Superstandard Divine Descent Ritual, and had awakened the dead before purification.
  • Puer explained that Old Anderson had made Kallen the Allen Family’s effective Clan Leader, prompting him to awaken Earl Recar to save the family from Queen Gloria.
  • Earl Recar learned that awakening Eunice’s bloodline would leave her drowsy for six months and teased Puer about her possible symbiosis with Kallen.
  • Earl Recar recalled how he had mistaken Kallen for an Archbishop and nearly attacked him, then recognized that Kallen represented an opportunity for the Allen Family.
  • Earl Recar reflected on returning to his family and, with little time left before dawn, put on his hat and set out to kowtow to Kallen.

Ch. 108Order Knights!

Earl Recar returned after dealing with Gloria IX, gave Kallen the frozen Seed of Light, and explained the history behind it and the sea chart leading to a possible site where the God of Light fell. As Earl Recar prepared to die again, Kallen realized he might be able to freeze him and rushed to the burial chamber to check whether he was still alive.

  • Earl Recar thanked Kallen for protecting the Allen Family, presented the Seed of Light, and explained how it had been found through a family expedition following his sea chart.
  • Earl Recar gave Kallen a new chart marking the ocean abyss and said it might be where the God of Light fell.
  • Earl Recar told Kallen that Eunice was gifted and had received the family blessing, then urged him to conceive a child during the next six months; Kallen refused to hurry and said he wanted his children to choose their own paths.
  • Earl Recar revealed that he had reached the pinnacle of the water attribute, where death could freeze or drown everything, and returned to his burial chamber as his time ran out.
  • Kallen realized Earl Recar might freeze himself to stop his spirituality from dissipating, ran to the burial chamber, and called down to ask whether he was completely dead; Earl Recar answered that he was not.

Ch. 109Another Divine Revelation

Kallen arranged for Earl Recar to freeze himself and slow the loss of his spiritual power while Allen Manor dealt with the Queen’s remains and her entourage. As Kallen reflected on awakening and the nature of revelation, he wrote a golden sentence that Alfred believed marked another Divine Revelation.

  • Earl Recar froze himself at Kallen’s request, and Golden Retriever confirmed that only a negligible amount of spiritual power was still leaking away.
  • Puer arranged for Borg and Judiya to maintain Earl Recar’s ice sculpture, while Mike agreed to repair the tomb and manage the manor’s aftermath.
  • Puer told Bede to return the Queen’s remains to the Royal Palace and warn the Gloria Royal Family, and Mike took charge of the Queen’s servants and guards.
  • Kallen checked on Eunice, rested in Alfred’s room, and wrote notes about awakening, Earl Recar’s preservation, and whether he was approaching Divine Revelation.
  • Kallen questioned whether truth had to come from gods and wrote, “Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth,” in golden lettering, while Alfred watched in awe.

Ch. 110Hello, this is home

After awakening as a Divine Revelation Adept, Kallen learned that the danger to his family in Rojia City had eased and decided to contact home. The chapter ended with him reaching the Immoreles Funeral Company and hearing Uncle Mason answer.

  • Kallen regained memories of his revelation and recognized that the words in his notebook had been his own self-revelation.
  • Alfred reported that the Queen's death had been publicly announced, Judiya remained at Allen Manor, and Borg had received Earl Recar's blessing.
  • Kallen visited Eunice, who had awakened her bloodline, and they shared an affectionate moment before she fell asleep.
  • Alfred read Molly's letter, which said Rasma had assured the family that Kallen should let them know he was safe and that he was watching over Mink Street.
  • Kallen called home and heard Uncle Mason answer the Immoreles Funeral Company phone.

Ch. 111A new beginning!

Kallen called Uncle Mason and Aunt Mary, then prepared to leave Allen Manor and move into York City so he could observe its people. As he set out with Alfred, he promised Mrs. Jenny he would return for Eunice, leaving his next steps open.

  • Kallen reunited with Uncle Mason and Aunt Mary over the phone, reassured them, and heard that Grandpa remained unconscious while Aunt Winnie pursued a nursing-home partnership.
  • Kallen told Mr. Bede he would buy a home with his loan and explained that he wanted to study people, whom he believed were the true force behind history and worthy subjects for the Wall God Church's art.
  • Kallen said farewell to the Allen Family, visited Earl Recar's and Primordial Ancestor Allen's graves, and promised Mrs. Jenny that he would visit Eunice monthly and take her with him once she recovered.
  • Kallen left Allen Manor with Alfred, planned to view houses within his mortgage limit, and tossed an ace of spades from the car window as they drove toward the city.

Ch. 112Buying a home

Kallen toured a duplex apartment in Bluebridge Community and decided its layout and furnishings suited him. After seeing sunlight refracted through the sunroom glass, he noticed a vision that recalled a passage from a book about the Era of Light.

  • Kallen met real estate agent Alaye Qiu and asked to see a more spacious home than the properties on Alaye's original list.
  • Alaye showed Kallen a furnished duplex apartment in Bluebridge Community, which had a private rooftop terrace and was priced at half his budget.
  • Kallen found a letter from the former owner in the study and recognized its blessing as resembling a chant of the Church of Light.
  • Kallen inspected the rooftop sunroom, where Puer and Alfred noticed unusual glass but found no immediate danger.
  • Alaye pulled away the sunroom's black covering, and sunlight dazzled Kallen as the rocking horse appeared to be a person kneeling before him.

Ch. 113Light endures forever

Kallen settled into his new home, hosted Alaye’s family for dinner, and found a possible job at Piaget Adams’s psychological clinic. That night, Puer and Golden Retriever intercepted a messenger crow and discovered a gathering invitation signed “Light endures forever.”

  • Kallen shared dinner with Alaye, Zhen, and Hand, then gave Hand his silver chopsticks as a gift.
  • Kallen asked Alfred to send photos and a letter to Mink Street and decided to seek work after spotting an advertisement for Piaget Adams’s clinic.
  • Puer and Golden Retriever noticed a messenger crow carrying a note outside Kallen’s bedroom window and followed it onto the roof.
  • Puer lured the crow toward Golden Retriever, then severed the leg carrying its note before the crow burned itself to ashes.
  • Puer and Golden Retriever read the invitation to a meeting at Curtis Building on the 25th and saw it was signed “Light endures forever.”

Ch. 114Have You Lost Your Mind, Piaget?!

Kallen learned that a letter invited the previous owner of his apartment to a secret gathering of the remnants of the Church of Light, but he decided not to attend and went to seek work at Piaget’s psychological clinic instead. There, he found Piaget’s assistant Bersha behaving provocatively and realized she was another of Piaget’s personalities, before Piaget arrived and revealed that she resembled Linda.

  • Puer and the Golden Retriever discussed the Church of Light invitation and decided to observe people near Kallen’s home, while Kallen refused to attend the gathering.
  • Kallen ate breakfast with Alfred, then borrowed Alaye’s car and headed to Piaget’s clinic to look for work.
  • Kallen noticed the Curtis Building across the street but chose not to investigate it and went into the Saint Tor Building with Alfred.
  • At the clinic, Kallen met Bersha, who flirted with him and questioned his attraction to women while he recognized her behavior as a sign that Piaget’s split personality had become difficult to control.
  • Piaget entered, embraced Kallen, and introduced Bersha as his assistant, explaining that she looked much like Linda.

Ch. 115Yes, I do!

Kallen visited Piaget in York City and accepted a job at his clinic, while Piaget continued to dwell on Linda and the mysterious person he expected to meet. Bersha and Rebecca discussed the Church of Light’s plans and Kallen’s arrival, and Alfred realized that his aura had changed.

  • Kallen told Piaget he needed a job, and Piaget hired him at the clinic starting the next day, arranging a physician rating and client referrals.
  • After Kallen left, Piaget looked through photographs of Linda and recalled a mysterious voice predicting that someone would lead him into a new world.
  • Bersha questioned Rebecca about Kallen and Alfred, then reaffirmed that the Church of Light would wait for its opportunity and hold its gathering as planned.
  • Bersha told Rebecca she was drawn to Piaget and Kallen, and said she would approach Kallen herself rather than have him watched.
  • In the car, Alfred told Kallen that his Otherworldly Demon aura had faded and a solemn, clergy-like aura had appeared; he suddenly exclaimed, “Yes, I have!”

Ch. 116Running into fellow professionals

Kallen bought inexpensive work clothes and met Mrs. Michelle and Xili at a small clothing shop, then helped Alfred and two funeral workers load a large corpse into a hearse. The chapter left Kallen and Alfred sharing soda with the workers after Kallen arranged their bottles into a square.

  • Kallen asked Mrs. Michelle to pick out plain clothes, negotiated the price, and refused her attempts to arrange a marriage for him.
  • Mrs. Michelle introduced Xili to Kallen, and Kallen reassured them that his fiancée and he were close.
  • Alfred bought clothes too, and he told Kallen they should hire a maid while he arranged to get a car with Alaye.
  • Kallen and Alfred helped Dinkum and Pike push a large corpse on a stretcher cart into their hearse.
  • Kallen, Alfred, Dinkum, and Pike drank soda together, and Kallen placed their bottles in a square, prompting Dinkum to praise Order.

Ch. 117The offensive

Kallen followed a funeral hearse to the Pavarro Family Funeral Society and learned that its suspended Inquisitor might offer a route into the Order God Church. Back home, he decided he needed a maid, and Alfred returned with Xili, leaving Puer and the Golden Retriever shocked by the conservatives’ latest move.

  • Kallen and Alfred followed Dinkum and Pike’s hearse, overheard that their boss was a suspended Inquisitor, and recorded the locations of Ava Pastry Shop and Pavarro Family Funeral Society.
  • Kallen returned home, heard that his new identity might help him join the Order God Church, and asked Alfred to investigate the funeral society and pastry shop.
  • Alfred’s aura had shifted toward that of a priest, prompting him to celebrate while Puer and the Golden Retriever worried about the conservatives’ growing influence.
  • After Kallen washed his own clothes, he told Alfred to find a maid, and Alfred went back to the clothing shop to hire Xili for 3,000 rael a month.
  • Alfred brought Xili home, and Puer and the Golden Retriever stared at her as Puer wondered whether the conservatives’ offensive was really that fierce.

Ch. 118The first patient

Kallen began his first day at Piaget's clinic and found that Bersha, his first patient, was a believer in the Church of Light waiting for an unknown opportunity connected to Piaget. When Bersha asked about Kallen's own hidden purpose, he claimed the Berry Church had guided him to protect Piaget and await its chance to spread its faith.

  • Kallen reminded Xili that Puer and Kevin had to be cared for like people, and he arranged for Xili to go home safely after work.
  • Xili prepared breakfast early, and Alfred drove Kallen to the clinic after he decided to avoid the crowded tram.
  • Bersha showed Kallen his office and arranged for a patient to see him on his first day.
  • Bersha revealed that she believed in the Church of Light and was staying near Piaget while waiting for an opportunity connected to him.
  • Bersha asked Kallen to explain why he had joined the clinic, and Kallen claimed the Goddess of Nature had guided him to protect Piaget and help the Berry Church spread its faith.

Ch. 119Boom!

Kallen finished his first day at the clinic, questioned Piaget about a photograph of Mr. Bede, and left with Alfred. On the tram, two gunmen opened fire, and Kallen shielded himself and a little girl with several Order spells before the gunmen’s explosives detonated.

  • Bersha apologized after Kallen rejected her advances, then arranged for him to receive patients starting the next day.
  • Kallen searched Piaget’s office for a photograph of Mr. Bede and learned Piaget dreamed that Bede would come to guide him into the world Linda had longed for.
  • Kallen warned Piaget against indulging his curiosity and promised to help if Piaget had more dreams or instructions.
  • Kallen left the clinic with Alfred and rode a tram, where he spoke with a little girl traveling between her mother’s and father’s homes.
  • Two purple-haired young men opened fire on the tram, and Alfred took control of them as Kallen used Order spells to protect himself and the girl.
  • A row of lit detonators fell from one gunman’s clothes and exploded.

Ch. 120The Evil God's Gift!

After an explosion derailed the tram, Kallen found Alfred badly burned and took him to the hospital, where he learned Alfred might need a replacement body. Kevin arrived and healed Alfred’s burns with his urine, leaving Kallen to ban him from using the toilet.

  • Kallen survived the tram explosion with the little girl and found Alfred badly burned among the injured.
  • Pavaro and his funeral society crew took Alfred to the hospital, where doctors saved him but warned that his extensive burns left him in danger.
  • Alfred explained that preserving his original body would help his development as an Otherworldly Demon, but feared it might not last.
  • Kevin arrived at the hospital with money and a phone book, then used his urine on Alfred’s burns after Kallen uncovered them.
  • Alfred’s wounds began healing rapidly, and Kallen ordered Kevin to use only a chamber pot from then on.
