Faceless Ghost

The more desperately the security guard ghost tried to prove his identity, the more convinced Lin Luo became.

"I was being too suspicious, Mr. Security Guard. Is the injury to your eye any better?"

Lin Luo spoke with a smile, and the security guard ghost instinctively nodded at his words.

"It's healed already. Your medical skills are really something."

That answer left Lin Luo certain that the ghost before him was definitely not the security guard ghost who had brought him to the Abandoned Building.

The security guard ghost hated being told he was ill more than anything.

Fat Ghost had failed to grasp that and had nearly been kicked into a pile of mangled flesh.

"Then sorry for the trouble, but please keep leading the way."

Lin Luo pretended to believe him.

With his back to Lin Luo, the security guard ghost's lips curled into an exaggerated grin.

"No problem. Leave it to me."

The security guard ghost smiled as though his scheme had succeeded.

But he had only taken a few steps when Lin Luo tightened his grip on the Blood Rope and lashed him across the back.

The sneak attack struck with tremendous force, tearing open the ghost's back and leaving a bloody wound.

"You insect! This is how you repay my kindness? By attacking me from behind?!"

The ghost turned his head, his expression a mixture of shock and fury.

"You're still pretending to be the security guard ghost at this point? Those cheap tricks won't fool me!"

Lin Luo sneered, and his words immediately made the security guard ghost's expression shift uncertainly.

"Don't think you can bluff your way out of this. If you won't admit it, I'll beat you until you show your true form!"

Not bothering to waste any more words on the ghost, Lin Luo swung the Blood Rope at him.

The ghost clearly wasn't very strong.

Before long, Lin Luo had him pinned down with the Blood Rope.

"You insect! If you didn't have that ghost artifact, you'd be dead already!"

The ghost glared at him with resentment.

But his anger left an opening for Lin Luo, who landed another blow on his body, weakening him considerably.

Unable to sustain the drain on his ghost power, the ghost revealed his true form.

His entire face lacked any features, resembling a sheet of rubber.

It really is a Faceless Ghost.

Lin Luo inwardly sighed with relief.

Among the many kinds of ghosts, Faceless Ghosts were decidedly weaker, capable of killing human players only through ambushes and deception.

"Wait! I'll leave right now."

Seeing that he could do nothing to Lin Luo, the Faceless Ghost hurriedly spoke.

The Faceless Ghost had no mouth, yet could still make sounds. That jarring sight made Lin Luo feel a little uncomfortable as he listened.

Lin Luo had no intention of getting further entangled with the Faceless Ghost either, so he turned to leave.

"You insect! You're too naive!"

Seeing Lin Luo turn his back, the Faceless Ghost thought he had let his guard down and lunged at him.

But Lin Luo had already learned how full of lies ghosts were and hadn't believed him for a second. He struck backward, slamming the Blood Rope into the Faceless Ghost.

The Faceless Ghost had never expected a trap within a trap and was blasted into ashes by the Blood Rope!

"You did very well."

Just as Lin Luo finished off the Faceless Ghost, a voice suddenly sounded behind him.

Lin Luo instinctively stepped back, then looked closely and saw the security guard ghost.

A terrifying baleful aura surged from the security guard ghost, releasing billowing black smoke that frightened away all the lesser ghosts secretly watching nearby.

"You're too kind, Mr. Security Guard."

Lin Luo spoke politely.

They were both ghosts, yet their strength was worlds apart.

No wonder he's vengeful ghost tier. He really is terrifying!

"Let's go."

The security guard ghost nodded and continued patrolling with Lin Luo.

This time, Lin Luo took an extra precaution and walked beside the security guard ghost.

That way, even if he encountered a ghost wall, he could fight alongside the security guard ghost.

Along the way, the security guard ghost's terrifying ghost power ensured that almost no ghost dared approach them looking for trouble.

But even after making a full circuit, Lin Luo still hadn't seen the mysterious Drunkard Ghost.

"Kid, are you looking for someone?"

With that, the security guard ghost prepared to withdraw.

But before he could leave, his limbs suddenly stiffened, and his eyes filled with terror!

At the same time, a little old man carrying a wine gourd appeared like a phantom.

"I'm not nearly as scary as you make me sound. Slandering me, are you? Do you believe I could toss you into my gourd and steep you in wine?"

The little old man was none other than the Drunkard Ghost whom Lin Luo had been searching for all this time.

The Drunkard Ghost wore a playful grin, but his words made the security guard ghost tremble uncontrollably.

"Sir, this is all a misunderstanding. I wouldn't dare..."

The security guard ghost felt like crying, but no tears would come.

The Drunkard Ghost had no interest in hearing the security guard ghost's explanation. Instead, he walked over to Lin Luo and said with a smile, "You're quite sincere, kid. You even came all this way to bring me wine!"

"Since I gave you my word, of course I couldn't go back on it."

Lin Luo nodded, then respectfully handed over the wine he had prepared beforehand.

The Drunkard Ghost unscrewed the cap, raised it to his lips, and began drinking deeply.

The Drunkard Ghost spoke with a grin, but his words made the security guard ghost beside them tense up.

Rumor had it that the Drunkard Ghost had a split personality and an unpredictable temper. One wrong word could get someone beaten until their soul scattered!

And because his origins were unknown and his strength was terrifying, even the director of Yellow Springs Hospital gave him a wide berth!

Watch what you say, kid. Whatever you do, don't get me killed.

The security guard ghost inwardly lamented his plight and prayed.

But Lin Luo's next words nearly scared the security guard ghost's soul out of him.
