The bed curtains rippled in waves, and the inn's rather flimsy canopy bed gave faint creaks beneath its burden in the late-summer midday.
Pei Xiangjun sat at the head of the bed with her legs folded out to either side, wearing Luo Ning's little triangular black gauze undergarment. Two peonies adorned the crucial spots, and the openwork fabric was stretched so taut that one could not help worrying whether the ties would snap under the heavy weight.
Luo Ning sat in much the same position in the middle, facing Pei Xiangjun. Her clothing was identical, only slightly different in color.
Her legs weak, Luo Ning leaned forward slightly against Pei Xiangjun's chest, her chin resting on her shoulder. She kept her eyes closed without making a sound, still looking as though she had suffered some grievance.
Subjected to this indulgence of the tongue, Pei Xiangjun was flushed and a little dizzy. Seeing the vixen playing dead again, she raised a hand and slapped the back of Luo Ning's waist.
"Hurry up. We still have things to do later. Don't waste time."
"Ah..."
Luo Ning frowned slightly and opened her eyes, looking along Pei Xiangjun's waist and back toward Ye Jingtang.
"Can't get your fill, can you? Is this what you call fifteen minutes?"
"..."
Ye Jingtang was in no position to speak. With amusement in his eyes, he merely signaled: All right, all right...
A long while later.
Having finished his midday rest and taken a cold bath, Ye Jingtang went to the stable feeling thoroughly refreshed, fetched the horses, and waited below the inn.
Looking up, he saw Niao Niao, who had been left outside for most of the day, looking distinctly unhappy. The bird tilted its head toward the sky, adopting an air of, *Hmph! Niao Niao
