Thud-
Shhhh~~
The soft sound of bodies hitting the ground echoed through the empty chamber, followed by yellow sand pouring down like an hourglass.
The already faint light overhead was soon blocked by sand and soil, plunging their surroundings into darkness, leaving only faint rustling.
Ye Jingtang twisted in midair and landed on both feet. Before he could steady himself, a soft, supple body crashed into his arms, pinning him to the ground, followed by a faceful of sand.
Afraid of being buried alive beneath the sand, Ye Jingtang immediately rolled sideways several times with the person in his arms. Only when sand stopped falling on him did he stop and look up, but he could no longer see anything.
"Cough, cough... It really was a roof. How could there be such a huge building...?"
A soft voice sounded beside his ear, along with several muffled coughs tinged with pain.
Ye Jingtang knew Fan Qinghe had suffered internal injuries. Caught off guard by the fall, she had hastily summoned her qi to react and had probably disrupted her breathing. He immediately reached out to feel her.
What his hand touched was hot and soft, with a trace of sweat...
?
Unable to tell where he was touching at first, he felt around to either side. The woman beside him drew her chest back as though shocked, followed by a somewhat embarrassed and annoyed voice:
"What are you doing?"
"Oh, sorry... I was helping you up. Are you all right?"
"I'm fine..."
Fan Qinghe sat up out of Ye Jingtang's arms, adjusted her clothes, then felt behind her waist and took out a specially made Fire Starter.

Once opened, the Fire Starter ignited by itself, giving off the scent of pine resin and a bright yellow glow
