Shen Ye found a place and called Xu Xingke.
The call connected.
Xu Xingke's voice immediately came through the receiver:
"Shen Ye, your teacher is an ordinary person too. I might not react in time every time, so you'd better get this sorted out quickly."
Shen Ye silently calculated-
Mojiahou had already used his "death prophecy poem" once. There were two days until the next one.
At least he wouldn't need his teacher to step in for two days!
"Don't worry, Teacher. There won't be a next time," Shen Ye guaranteed.
"Good. By the way, what's going on with the Eightfold God?" Xu Xingke asked.
"A friend's mother is willing to help us out. Don't worry, she signed a Contract with me of her own accord," Shen Ye said.
"All right. There are some things you'll have to judge for yourself. I'm heading out. We'll talk later," Xu Xingke said.
"Okay, Teacher."
The call ended.
A few minutes later, in the Five Desires world.
The Sword Maiden looked in surprise at Xu Xingke, who had just appeared.
"Didn't you go back to rest?"
"Something came up. I was afraid something might go wrong, so I thought I'd better hide for a while," Xu Xingke said.
"You don't owe any debts. Who are you hiding from?" the Sword Maiden teased.
Xu Xingke sighed. "Some situations still scare you even after a lifetime out in the world."
Panda's office.
"You stayed for such a short time last time. Did you still have something to take care of?" asked Panda Iron Man.
"An emergency," Shen Ye explained.
"Then I won't charge you this time. You were here for less than five minutes last time, after all," Iron Man said.
"You're a real pal!" Shen Ye gave him a thumbs-up.
