A cramped confinement cell.
The girl sat motionless on the wire bed.
Yet dark human silhouettes drifted back and forth in midair.
"Why don't you just kill me?"
The girl asked.
The shadows spoke in overlapping voices. "Our Dharma Form is fighting the Emperor Species. It's tied up, so we can't kill you directly."
"How could you possibly fail to beat a weakened Emperor Species?" Shen Ye asked.
"Anyway, it's tied up, so we can only deal with you using the method at hand," the shadows said.
Shen Ye smiled and said nothing.
They wanted it too badly.
As long as the Demon of Fear wasn't here, they revealed their true nature and wanted revenge.
Revenge.
This was his opportunity.
Shen Ye rose from the bed, filled an iron can with water, walked to the tightly shut iron door, and poured all the water onto the floor.
The water.
It seeped through the crack beneath the door and flowed outside.
He activated "I Exist in the Mirror," entered the water, passed through the door, and emerged from the water that had spread outside.
It was already night.
Shen Ye found the teaching building without much effort.
He specifically searched for the teachers' offices.
One by one.
Soon, through a windowpane, he spotted the Ferris wheel sitting in the corner of an office.
Entering the glass and emerging on its other side, Shen Ye walked straight to the Ferris wheel and picked it up.
Her movements were so gentle.
Even the shadows that had been following her in midair held their breath.
Shen Ye raised the Ferris wheel and gently engraved a line of tiny words on its base:
