Guanghan Palace preserves an older civilization's attempts to survive great calamities. Its predecessors repeatedly led people against disasters but failed, leaving their accumulated wills and treasured power within its inheritance. To claim that inheritance, Shen Ye must establish a path beyond their unsuccessful approaches 324.

Destruction practitioners later begin adopting Dharma Forms. A World Destroyer manifests one during battle, and Ptolemy subsequently uses a destructive form that becomes tangible and strikes Shen Ye directly. Brody describes the technique as a recently popular import from the Truth World 513 544.

On the Other Shore, Dharma Forms are called Eerie Shadows and are identified with weird-side power. Some possess independent awareness rather than functioning solely as a practitioner's projection 646 657 658.
