Thousands upon thousands of human photographs kept flashing across the big screen.
Shen Ye sat before the television screen, his eyes fixed on the crowds as he examined everyone's past and future.
"Shen Ye!"
"Hey, Shen Ye, something's up!"
Big Skeleton's hushed voice rang out.
The golden light in Shen Ye's eyes faded, and he turned back in surprise.
"What's wrong?"
Behind him, a door opened, and another "Shen Ye" nervously poked his head out.
"People keep coming to see you. I've turned them all away."
"You did exactly the right thing."
"But the visitors keep getting stronger. At first, it was a few barons, but now there are several marquises, and they've explicitly said they must see you."
"Ignore them."
"Two of them forced their way in just now."
"What? Forced their way in?"
This finally caught Shen Ye off guard.
Generally speaking, forcing your way into someone else's home meant a fight, no matter which world you were in.
"Yes, they forced their way into the study," Big Skeleton said.
"Are you all right?" Shen Ye hurriedly asked.
"I stayed pretty calm."
Big Skeleton's voice brimmed with smug satisfaction.
"I didn't even turn around to look at them. I just held that Wristband that records Swordsmanship, entered some Undead Techniques, and asked them something."
"What did you ask?"
"I said, 'I'm recording something important for the Lord of the End. If you interrupt me, you'll have to figure out how to explain it to him yourselves.'"
"Well said."
"Wasn't it? They left as soon as I finished, without daring to make a peep."
Big Skeleton changed tack and continued,
"But I don't think this is that simple. Should you come back, in case something comes up that I can't handle?"
Shen Ye pondered for a while before speaking.
