• Heavenly Venerable Yun Ni watched videos of herself in a phone store, then killed the men who insulted her and devoured the souls of everyone caught in the ensuing explosion.

Shen Ye forced Yun Ni’s heart demon to reveal the secrets behind the curse, the God Statue, and the Supreme Emotionless Ascension Scripture. After learning that Xiatelai was being hunted for her mythic profession, Shen Ye used the Scripture’s Divine Curse to access professional skills and began fusing them.

• Shen Ye threatened to leave Yun Ni’s heart demon sealed until she revealed the truth, and she agreed to explain after he fulfilled the Contract’s conditions.
• Yun Ni’s heart demon told Shen Ye that Yun Ni had hidden herself inside the God Statue, while the Saint Venerable was also a heart demon who sought to devour sect disciples.
• The heart demon explained that Yun Ni and the Saint Venerable targeted Xiatelai because her profession had reached the realm of myths and legends, beyond the knowledge heart demons could perceive.
• Shen Ye recited the Supreme Emotionless Ascension Scripture’s Divine Curse and gained access to the class skills and knowledge available at his cultivation level.
• Shen Ye activated his Vampire Kiddo trait and chose to fuse all the class skills he had learned.

Shen Ye and his heart demon faced a lethal fate contest after another heart demon challenged them, and Shen Ye used a tiny fate setting to keep his heart demon alive. His improvised plan left the heart demon embracing the Mountain Lord as the sect’s destruction approached.

• Shen Ye lifted the Contract with Yun Ni’s heart demon, agreed to work together against Yun Ni and the Saint Venerable, and learned that other heart demons could sense his newly acquired skill.
• Shen Ye’s heart demon contest began when the Saint Venerable’s heart demon set the destruction of Penglai Immortal Mountain as their opponent’s fate.
• Shen Ye used the setting “The Sect Master loves me” to make the Mountain Lord protect his heart demon in the Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams Furnace.
• The opposing heart demon added a fate in which another man tortured and killed Shen Ye’s heart demon, but Shen Ye countered with “I was reborn,” restoring the heart demon after his suffering.
• Shen Ye coached his heart demon to persuade the Mountain Lord to hide in the furnace and promised to protect her, then told him to hug her.
• The Mountain Lord embraced the heart demon and praised him as a true man.

Shen Ye survived the Heart Demon Battle by interrupting Fate's settings and learned that Penglai Mountain's Sacred Relic held the true legacy of the Supreme Scripture. The battle ended in Panlong Town, where Shen Ye was left with the Mountain Master's instructions to enter the Sacred Relic and retrieve a hidden Jade Slip.

• Shen Ye persuaded the Mountain Master to seal him, the Heart Demon, and the Fuyun Mountain Elder inside the Alchemy Furnace, where the Heart Demon regained his freedom while the elder remained unconscious.
• Shen Ye stopped the Heart Demon from attacking the elder, and the elder later taught him that Myth-grade skills and a Supreme profession were essential to mastering the Dao scripture.
• The elder explained how to escape a Heart Demon Battle, and Shen Ye interrupted the enemy's fate setting by shouting, "Regret!"
• After the furnace opened, the Mountain Master attacked the Heart Demon to prove her love to the elder, but the elder rejected her and left; she then returned the unconscious Heart Demon to the furnace.
• The Penglai Mountain Master revealed that the Heart Demon Battle had concealed a message for Shen Ye, identified him as Penglai's true successor, and hid a Jade Slip in the Alchemy Furnace.
• The Heart Demon Battle ended, and Shen Ye found himself back in Panlong Town on patrol for the Supreme Dao Palace.
