After five students went missing inside the Great Tomb, a devastating attack tore open the ground and swept Shen Ye, Xiao Mengyu, and Guo Yunye into its depths. They survived in a small grotto and began trying to determine their location.

• Zhang Xiaoyi distributed armor and weapons, and Nangong Sirui's Name began to form after he helped repair the barrier.
• Guo Yunye told Shen Ye and Xiao Mengyu that five of the 136 new students had disappeared after entering the Great Tomb.
• Yang Yingzhen opened a secret passage and ordered everyone to move down, but a pillar of light shattered the ground and scattered the crowd into the tombs below.
• Shen Ye used Big Skeleton's White Bone Great Shield to shield himself, Xiao Mengyu, and Guo Yunye, who turned into a Teddy Dog to make himself easier to pull.

Shen Ye investigated a mysterious mural of the Nine Heavens Mysterious Maiden and discovered a corpse hidden in its eye. When the mural’s guardian attacked him in Hell, Shen Ye summoned Nine Forms to face the powerful Serpent Demon.

• Shen Ye learned that Teddy’s ornamental-dog power, Admiration, forced beings to look at him, and asked him to help Xiao Mengyu fight.
• Shen Ye and Big Skeleton mistook the lifelike Nine Heavens Mysterious Maiden mural for a watcher and found Zhao Chuanling’s corpse hidden in its eye.
• Shen Ye questioned Zhao Chuanling with Dark Whisper and learned that he had died after trying to investigate the mural’s secret.
• A female voice emerged from the mural, claimed its power, and attacked Shen Ye; the Fifth Layer of the Dharma Realm Serpent Demon chased him into Hell.

After bluffing the Myriad-Age Poison Corpse with Yun Ni’s borrowed power, Shen Ye left a misleading clue to lure visitors toward the monster and hurried away before his strength failed.

• Shen Ye questioned the dead alien with Dark Whisper and learned that its mission was to undo the Fate Seal and rescue a supposedly living monarch in the Great Tomb.
• Big Skeleton revealed that its master had fabricated his knowledge of the Fate Seal to lure people in for food, but the Myriad-Age Poison Corpse then appeared and prepared to attack.
• Yun Ni emerged and lent Shen Ye the power of a Dharma Realm Sixth Layer expert, causing the Myriad-Age Poison Corpse to cancel the fight and negotiate instead.
• The Myriad-Age Poison Corpse told Shen Ye that the sealed monarch’s return at the wrong time could destroy everything, and Shen Ye realized the Death God in his Red Trait, Witness, referred to the Great Tomb.
