Background / History

Rescue and Base Standoff

Liu Weimin was among the three survivors rescued when Li Yu’s group cleared zombies surrounding a small building. He subsequently traveled in the riot-control vehicle with Liu Huamei 19.

At Li Yu’s base, Liu Weimin supported the village crowd’s appeal for admission. The village Party secretary used his intervention to increase pressure on Li Yu, who refused. After Li Yu fired a warning shot, the confrontation escalated until Li Yu aimed at Liu Weimin and his companions raised their knives. Liu Weimin lowered his gun, insisting that he had only wanted to persuade him 21.
