Xu Le and Chi Xiao traced the insects to Lightforging’s sealed body parts, while Zhang Ji and Jidu became enemies in their struggle over them. Xu Le reached Level 5 but woke trapped in a projection of his Soul World, where Chi Xiao’s message helped him regain his power and attack the Gundo Mother Tree.

• Xu Le and Chi Xiao investigated the insects and uncovered the Lightforging Hand at Dalong Reservoir, then followed the swarm to the Heroes’ Monument.
• Zhang Ji planted insect eggs in the monument tablets, and Xu Le fought his forces before a distant attacker nearly killed him with red lightning.
• Xu Le and Chi Xiao pursued the Lightforging parts and their protectors, while Chi Xiao discovered that Jidu had stolen the body and Xu Le ambushed Zhang Ji.
• Zhang Ji transformed into Lightforging and overwhelmed Xu Le, Toad, and Ai Li, but Xu Le absorbed a Lightforging limb, rejected the Mother Tree’s plan, and devoured Zhang Ji to reach Level 5.
• Xu Le revived Ai Li and Toad in new bodies, while Chi Xiao defeated Jidu, claimed the remaining Lightforging parts, and left a tomb marker for him.
• Xu Le awoke in a projection of his Soul World and refused the Gundo Mother Tree’s offer to become its Proxy, then struggled to survive on an icy island as corpse-like figures attacked him.
• Xu Le realized the Mother Tree had entered his Soul World through a Beacon, and Chi Xiao’s message helped him imagine her beside him, regain his power, and strike the Mother Tree.

Xu Le absorbed the Children of Guyinduo’s power and fused the Fading Fire with darkness while Chi Xiao developed her flame rule. Their paths converged at the Red Moon Holy Temple, where Chi Xiao defeated Puppet but was gravely wounded, leaving Xu Le to save her in Zion.

• Xu Le helped the Children of Guyinduo break the seal and absorbed their projected powers as the Guyinduo World began appearing across Deep Blue Star.
• Night Fiend gave Xu Le the Fading Fire, and he used it to balance his powers before training with Chi Xiao in the Land of Darkness.
• Chi Xiao began forming an undying flame rule while Ai Li and the other survivors prepared for the Black Tide, which appeared to have stopped before Oddities attacked the Red Moon Holy Temple.
• Chi Xiao left the Land of Darkness to defend the Red Moon Holy Temple, while Xu Le endured repeated deaths as he fused the Fading Fire with darkness and advanced to LV6-Faded One.
• Chi Xiao fought Puppet, trapped its projection with her Flame Prison, and joined Xu Le in destroying it, but an ancient gaze struck as she collapsed in Xu Le’s arms.
• Xu Le escaped the Red Moon Holy Temple with Chi Xiao and carried her to Zion, where Li Wen brought them to Xia Libo for treatment.
• Xu Le used a Soul Devouring Tree Seed to restart Chi Xiao’s heart, removed the metal stabilizing her shattered spine, and arranged for her blood transfusion.

Xu Le returned to the Red Moon Holy Temple, uncovered Cangming’s possible survival, and met the Red Moon, which ordered him to help complete the God Luring Plan. After escaping Miwang, Xu Le faced Duo En at his Safe House and was trapped by her array.

• Xu Le rescued Chi Xiao from Zion and brought her to the Soul Devouring Tree, then entered the Red Moon Holy Temple under a false identity to investigate its recruitment drive and the Children of Guyinduo.
• Xu Le and Chi Xiao tracked the injured Sora, subdued her mutated form, and learned that Puppet and Rose had trapped her before Chi Xiao killed her at her request.
• Xu Le passed Sora’s trap coordinates to Duo En, who informed Meilis, while Labi used the Black Card-Black Sheep Girl to connect Xu Le with the Red Moon Holy Temple.
• Xu Le confronted Meilis and learned about Cangming’s failed God Enslavement plan, then followed Chi Xiao, Ding Ke, and Bai Ya to the forbidden cemetery, where Ding Ke uncovered a human hand bone beneath Cangming’s grave.
• Xu Le met Bai Ya and learned that she felt imprisoned as the Red Moon Holy Temple’s puppet master, then entered the Red Moon’s domain and was asked to help Cangming complete the God Luring Plan.
• Miwang confronted Xu Le after he left the Red Moon’s domain, but the Red Moon stopped Miwang from attacking, allowing Xu Le to flee.
• Xu Le found Duo En at his Safe House and killed her Warlock subordinates, but Duo En’s puppets and arrays overwhelmed him after he summoned a Corrupted Angel and used his survival techniques.

Xu Le joined Cangming’s Dawn Organization and uncovered its experiments on Godspawn Oddities while preparing to lure Forest. Chi Yu survived their dungeon battle, absorbed Xu Le’s darkness, and pursued them, leaving Xu Le and Chi Xiao fighting him as his power approached Level 8.

• Xu Le defeated Zeximi in Cangming’s underground passage, consumed the Godspawn Oddities with his Soul Devouring Tree, and joined Dawn as its third executor.
• Cangming revealed that he had enslaved the god Feiying and set out a plan to lure Forest, while Chi Xiao warned Xu Le that Cangming had become ruthless.
• Xu Le and Chi Xiao investigated Dawn’s imprisoned Godspawn Oddities and found that removing their Yellow Springs souls and Ancient Yin Duo Energy made them explode.
• Xu Le and Chi Xiao fought Chi Yu, the full moon angel with the Death Gaze, and escaped after Full Moon’s power overwhelmed him.
• Xu Le concluded that the Godspawn Oddities were Red Moon beings corrupted by Guyinduo power, and he and Chi Xiao connected Chi Yu’s transformation to the Gundo Mother Tree reclaiming Supreme Rules.
• Chi Yu ambushed Xu Le, tore off his arm, and followed him through a Darkness Gate after absorbing his darkness.
• Chi Yu attacked Xu Le and Chi Xiao inside the Soul Devouring Tree World, seized Xu Le’s heart, and retreated when Chi Xiao forced him back.
• Chi Yu’s power assimilated into the Soul Devouring Tree and opened a red eye that wounded Xu Le, who destroyed it as he and Chi Xiao considered a plan that might require her sacrifice.
