Lin Mo uses the coupon to buy 380 health potions for 3.8 silver coins, then resells them through the Auction House. His first batch earns a net profit of 1,463 copper coins 9.
Spider Queen
The Spider Queen is Cloudside Town’s ultimate beginner-region boss: a level 15, tier 2 magic-type boss located in the Shadow Nest 18 36.
- Guards: Hundreds of Exploding Spiders obstruct access to her lair. One kills Lin Mo instantly with its self-destruct attack during his first approach 18 26.
- Combat threat: Her magical blast kills dozens of Troubled Times players at once 36.
- Notable loot: A D-grade magic scroll, a C-grade skill book, two orange equipment pieces, and a Shadow Heart 41.
- Boss-kill title: Lin Mo obtains the green-quality King of Hunting title 41.
- Later significance: Three Shadow Hearts are required to unlock the hidden Shadow Temple associated with the Level 3 Main City stage 18 50.
Leveling & Leaderboard
Cloudside Town’s leveling event begins when players enter the game. Its rewards go to the first ten players to reach level 10 and complete class advancement; reaching level 10 alone is insufficient 2 3 22 25.

Story Role & History
Previous Timeline
In Lin Mo’s previous life, Ling Xiao—playing as Wind Soughs Sadly—completed Cloudside Town’s hidden quest. Its rewards propelled him to the top of the town’s combat rankings and helped him win the 100,000-yuan leveling prize. Lin Mo remembers the quest’s trigger conditions and claims the opportunity first in his new life 4 8.
Wang Junjie, known as Hero of Troubled Times, ultimately defeated the Spider Queen in that timeline. The battle lasted a full day and night, with nearly all of the guild’s roughly thousand participants dying more than ten times 18.
Current Timeline
Cloudside Town is Lin Mo’s starting location after his rebirth. Within five minutes of Oracle’s launch, he uses Soulfire to obtain the town’s first golden equipment, the World-Shattering · Flowing Light Sword. He hides his identity in the regional announcement and earns Golden Legend and Golden Gear War God 2.
Competition over the hidden quest and leaderboard brings him into conflict with Ling Xiao and the Troubled Times Guild. Troubled Times has more than 500 members in town, and six of the top ten ranked players belong to it at one point. Wang Junjie attempts to force Lin Mo to surrender the hidden quest and abandon the race for first place 12 14 18.
Su Yingxia later leaks the Shadow Nest boss’s location to Wang Junjie. His guild clears the Exploding Spiders through repeated deaths and attempts to overwhelm the Spider Queen with continuous assaults, supported by promised cash compensation 32 33 34 36.
After obtaining the Spider Queen’s loot, Lin Mo helps Ling Xiao’s group secure leveling rewards before Wang Junjie. He remains Cloudside Town’s top-ranked player at level 13 with 81% EXP, then departs for Flowfire City. An observer reports his destination, prompting Wang Junjie to order thousands of Troubled Times members to gather there 41 43 46 50.
