  • Ye Xingchen ordered the allied troops to attack from the flanks, while Longwind Sect and Limitless Immortal Sect disciples fought fiercely and used self-detonations to break the Divine Cult’s momentum.
  • Niu Langchedan sent Divine Envoys and suicide squads to the front, but his forces suffered heavy losses as the allied army overwhelmed them.
  • After learning that Mochuan Neiku’s reinforcements were less than an hour away, Niu Langchedan contracted his lines and switched to defense instead of retreating.
  • Ye Xingchen recognized that reinforcements were approaching and ordered the allied army to intensify its attack while Zhao Qingxi and Hong Yu prepared scouts and defenses.
  • The allied army unleashed two concentrated barrages, killing tens of thousands of Cult disciples and leaving about forty thousand mostly elite fighters surrounded.

The Allied Army returned to Xujiang Town with nearly one hundred and seventy thousand dead, leaving all three sects gravely weakened.

  • Ye Xingchen used battle formations to divide and destroy the Divine Cult’s ranks, then switched to a direct assault as the Allied Army gained the advantage.
  • Niu Langchedan ordered a retreat, assigning Tianzhong Cizilang, Mochuan Neiku, and Matsui Rigou to cover the escape and clear the route.

  • Ye Xingchen, Long Zongyuan, and Lei Zhenxiao returned to Xujiang Town with a little over one hundred and thirty thousand surviving disciples and mourned the Allied Army’s enormous losses.

Ch. 359Alliance meeting I

Ye Xingchen prepared the Limitless Immortal Sect’s forces near the Ancient Cave Abode, then convened an Immortal Realm Alliance meeting to rally the continent’s sects against the Divine Cult. The meeting ended with small-faction leaders voicing suspicion that the three major sects were using the threat for their own advantage.

  • Ye Xingchen placed Ouyang Feng in charge of gathering intelligence on the Divine Cult and arranged the Limitless Immortal Sect’s forces around the Ancient Cave Abode.
  • Ye Xingchen handed command of the camp to Elder Li Shuxin and traveled to Xujiang Town to preside over the Alliance meeting.
  • Ye Xingchen welcomed the assembled sect leaders and explained that the Divine Cult had massacred island residents, enslaved survivors, and still had at least seven hundred thousand powerful followers.
  • Ye Xingchen called on the continent’s sects to unite against the Divine Cult, while Long Zongyuan and Lei Zhenxiao watched the leaders’ reactions.
  • Several small-faction leaders accused the three major sects of exaggerating the danger to suppress rivals, and their remarks stirred resentment among the gathered factions.

Ch. 362Battle Plan

Ye Xingchen gathered the Allied Army’s deputy commanders and set out a cautious two-phase campaign to retake Outland Sea Island and clear its surrounding islands. The plan was approved, and the counterattack began with Lei Zhenxiao leading the assault on Chichang City.

  • The Three-Sect Allied Army withdrew to Lingxi Mountain after three costly battles, while the Divine Cult massacred over ten million cultivators on Outland Sea Island.

  • Ye Xingchen presented a plan to attack Outland Sea Island from two fronts, retake its outlying islands, and later plan an assault on the Divine Cult’s Main Island.
  • The deputy commanders approved the plan, and Ye Xingchen assigned Lei Zhenxiao and Long Zongyuan to lead the two fronts while the others took supporting duties.
  • The Allied Army launched its counterattack, with Lei Zhenxiao leading the first-front assault on Chichang City and receiving one hundred thousand reserve troops as support.

Ch. 363Raising the Curtain on a Great War

Lei Zhenxiao’s Allied Army besieged Chichang City, where Gouyao Tianhuang commanded the Divine Cult’s defense. • The Allied Army’s second-echelon troops joined the assault, overwhelming the Divine Cult reinforcements and inflicting heavy losses.
  • Gouyao Tianhuang ordered a second wave of sixty thousand reserves to reinforce the walls, fearing that losing Chichang City would bring his own downfall.

Ch. 364The Allied Army's counterattack (I)

Gouyao Tianhuang and Goushi Tianhuang struggled to hold their fronts as the Allied Army inflicted heavy losses, while Niu Langchedan prepared a major counterattack against the mainland. Goushi Tianhuang finally halted Long Zongyuan’s advance with a costly charge and formed a defensive line on the third small island.

Ch. 366Niu Langchedan's Surprise Attack

Niu Langchedan led a concealed force of five hundred thousand Cult Disciples toward the Lingxi Mountain base, but his divine sense alerted Nangong Chaoyang and exposed the surprise attack. Nangong organized the base’s defenders and recruits, and the chapter ended with the Divine Cult launching a second wave against the still-standing defensive barrier.

  • Gouyao Tianhuang worried that he could not hold Chichang City after his younger brother Goushi Tianhuang’s defeat and the Vice Minister’s planned attack on the mainland heartland.
  • Niu Langchedan set out with five hundred thousand troops, ordered Mochuan Neiku to march on the base three days later with two hundred thousand reserves, and assigned the Main Island’s defense to Divine Envoy Jingbian Jiro.
  • Niu Langchedan’s vanguard killed cultivators and high-level Demon Beasts along the route, allowing the army to approach within fifty li of the Lingxi Mountain base undetected.
  • Niu Langchedan’s divine sense triggered an alert, so Nangong Chaoyang activated the base’s defensive formations and warned its personnel before ordering the recruits into combat.
  • Nangong Chaoyang divided three hundred thousand recruits into six echelons and ordered Jiang Tian Long to lead the first against the attacking Divine Cult forces.
  • The Divine Cult’s first wave struck the barrier but failed to break through, and Niu Langchedan sent a second wave toward the Lingxi Mountain base.

Ch. 367Gouyao Tianhuang's breakout

Ye Xingchen organized a relief force after the Divine Cult attacked the Lingxi Mountain base, while Gouyao Tianhuang and Goushi Tianhuang prepared to escape the Allied Army’s encirclement at Chichang City. The breakout began when Sugimoto Ichirō led a charge through the southern gate.

  • Nangong Chaoyang reported the Lingxi Mountain base’s attack to Ye Xingchen and advised him to reinforce it while guarding against an ambush.

  • Lei Zhenxiao and Long Zongyuan reinforced the southern position and ordered attacks on Chichang City’s eastern, northern, and western walls.
  • Sugimoto Ichirō used suicidal charges to open a breach in the encirclement, widened it, and signaled Goushi Tianhuang and Gouyao Tianhuang to escape.
  • Long Zongyuan’s troops spread word that the Divine Cult’s leaders had abandoned the defenders, prompting disciples to flee the walls.
  • Lei Zhenxiao’s forces captured the western wall as its defenders retreated into the city.

  • Gouyao Tianhuang ordered Inuyou Tingtao to hold a defensive line for four hours while he led his loyal troops toward the southern gate.
  • Goushi Tianhuang fought to keep the escape gap open as Allied Army reinforcements narrowed it to fifty meters, costing his forces tens of thousands of men.
  • Goushi Tianhuang left his remaining troops to defend the gap and urged Gouyao Tianhuang to withdraw faster.
  • Gouyao Tianhuang arrived with reinforcements, stabilized the battle lines, and led Goushi Tianhuang out through the gap.
  • Inuyou Tingtao and his troops were ambushed by Allied Army forces outside the city and fled in panic.

Ch. 370Dogs without a home
