Mahamayuri Bodhisattva's bluntness left everyone momentarily speechless.
Seeing this, Mahamayuri Bodhisattva smiled and said, "Tang Sanzang, the Buddha delivers all people without distinction. Once you have obtained the true scriptures, everything will become clear."
Tang Sanzang said, "Your disciple will respectfully follow your teachings, Bodhisattva."
Mahamayuri Bodhisattva said, "I heard there were a few bandits. Where are they? Hand them all over to me."
Hearing this, Tang Sanzang had Sha Wujing bring the bandits out.
Mahamayuri Bodhisattva took charge of the bandits and prepared to leave.
Tang Sanzang said, "Bodhisattva, may your disciple ask how people like these should be dealt with?"
Mahamayuri Bodhisattva smiled. "Just attend to your quest for the scriptures. Leave these people to me."
With that, Mahamayuri Bodhisattva left with the bandits.
Tang Sanzang sighed at the sight.
He had meant to ask the Bodhisattva what he ought to do if he encountered such a thing again, but for some reason the Bodhisattva had not answered and had simply left.
Wukong said, "Master, I heard the Buddha say that they seem to be sending these people to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva."
Tang Sanzang was delighted to hear this. "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva guides all living beings to enlightenment. Sending them there would certainly be good."
The master and his three disciples packed their belongings and prepared to journey west once more.
Meanwhile, Mahamayuri Bodhisattva flew toward the Netherworld with the bandits.
Along the way, Mahamayuri Bodhisattva casually ate the bandits.
In a moment, he reached the Netherworld.
He arrived at the Emerald Cloud Palace and met Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
Mahamayuri Bodhisattva spat out the souls of those bandits.
Seeing them, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva suppressed them with vow power.
A closer look revealed that countless souls were already being suppressed by vow power in this fashion.
Mahamayuri Bodhisattva did not look any further.
