Practicing medicine in Zhu Zi Kingdom (19)
Meanwhile, Wukong arrived at the Lingxiao Hall and once again requested troops from the Jade Emperor.
The Celestial Worthy Jade Emperor laughed and said, "Wukong, what's so troublesome about that Demon that even the Third Prince Heavenly King Li couldn't subdue, so you've come to ask for reinforcements again?" Wukong laughed and said, "Actually, there's nothing particularly troublesome about it. It's just that the Demon has been frightened by Old Sun and the Third Prince, and now it's hiding in its cave and won't come out. If we were to push down the mountain peaks, I'm afraid it would hurt the good people inside. Therefore, I'm asking Your Majesty to send a Immortal who can split mountains and divide ridges to help Old Sun defeat the enemy."
Upon hearing this, the Celestial Worthy Jade Emperor said, "Very well, we will do as Wukong suggests, and order the True Gods of the Three Mountains, Bingling Gong, to assist."
Bingling Gong was the third son of the Great Emperor Dongyue Crown Prince Bingling.
Wukong had previously invited him when he Green Ox Spirit at Golden Rhinoceros Mountain, and he also invited the Five Sacred Mountains Lords. However, all their Magic Treasure and weapons were taken away by the Green Ox Demon, and they were later injured by the Blood Sea King with the Soul-Scattering Gourd, so they did not achieve any merit.
Although Bingling Gong suffered a defeat at Golden Rhinoceros Mountain, he was fighting against Sage's treasure, plus the Congenital Spiritual Treasure, the Soul-Scattering Gourd. Now, he is only fighting against Sai Taisui, so the situation is naturally incomparable.
At that moment, Bingling Gong received the imperial decree and descended to the mortal Lower Realm with Wukong.
The two did not go directly to the Xiezhi Cave Qilin Mountain, but instead went to Mount Tai in the east. Bingling Gong summoned Two Great Strongmen to move the mountain, Thirty-Six Strongman to unload the ridge, and a Mirage Dragon to accompany them.
The Mirage Dragon was the eighth son of the Jing River Dragon King and the eighth brother of Ao Tu. He was unruly from a young age and as ferocious as the Little Alligator Dragon. Later, he tamed himself and changed his nature, and then occupied Great Mountain. Folk legend has it that when the Mirage Dragon had nothing to do, he would often create mirages to lure people in, and then eat them.
Originally, the Mirage Dragon had no real authority in the Mountain God system; it was merely an appendage, and thus had something to do.
Such a meritorious act of helping with the Journey to the West and gaining great Merit would normally not be available to him.
However, since Ao Tu, a notorious villain in the Three Realms, was one of the sons of the Jing River Dragon King, everyone was afraid of him, and thus the status of the Mirage Dragon rose accordingly.
When Bingling Gong came to select people, he casually brought Mirage Dragon along as a favor.
On the other side, Youlai Youqu led a few Little Demon, carrying a sedan chair, and arrived at Mist-and-Cloud Cave on Qiyun Mountain with gongs and drums all the way.
Those Youlai Youqu kowtowed and knelt outside the door, saying:
"Grandmaster! That Sun Wukong is going too far! He summoned the Immortal in Heaven and brought them to attack us. Your Great King is outnumbered and cannot defeat him alone, so he sent me to ask Grandmaster for your help."
A voice came from inside. "Come in."
Upon Youlai Youqu, he went into the cave.
The interior was simply furnished and naturally quiet, with the Grandmaster sitting cross-legged on a Stone Bed in meditation.
Youlai Youqu stepped forward and bowed again.
Ao Tu asked, "What Immortal did Sun Wukong invite?"
Youlai Youqu said, "There's a young general, the Great King says his name is Third Prince, and there are five heavenly kings: one who holds a pagoda, one who wields a sword, one who holds an umbrella, one who plays music, and one who releases a fox to eat people. The one who holds the umbrella and the one who plays music are the most wicked; they've taken countless brothers away."
Ao Tu, knowing that it was Heavenly King Li, Third Prince Nezha, and the Four Heavenly Kings Lower Realm the mortal realm, asked, "Are there any other Immortal?"
Youlai Youqu said, "There are also many heavenly Heavenly Soldiers Divine General."
Ao Tu said, "Your Great King is utterly useless. With only these few men, how could he possibly be defeated? Why did you have to come and ask me for help?"
Youlai Youqu said, "His Great King said it's not that he's no match for them, but that he's outnumbered and has no help. That pagoda-bearer is rather cunning, staying in the Heaven and refusing to come down. If he were to fight with all his might, he fears being ambushed by the pagoda-bearer, so he dares not engage them in battle."
Upon hearing this, Ao Tu shook his head and laughed, "Go back and tell your Great King that Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King Li, isn't acting treacherously; he's just too afraid to come down. Tell him not to hesitate and to directly capture Sun Wukong and Third Prince Nezha. Li Jing, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King Li, will surely retreat at the first sign of trouble and dare not fight again."
Youlai Youqu and agreeing to the terms, I prepared to go back.
Ao Tu called out to him, "Wait a minute."
Youlai Youqu immediately stopped and bowed again, asking, "What are your instructions, Grandmaster?"
Ao Tu said, "Sun Wukong has gone to invite the Mountain God again. I'll bestow two treasures upon you for your Great King to take, lest he be no match for them." Youlai Youqu asked with some surprise, "Grandmaster is far away in the Mist-and-Cloud Cave, how does he know about what's happening outside?"
Ao Tu said, "I possess the ability to foresee the future and calculate the workings of Heaven and Earth; do not ask further questions." Having said this, he bestowed upon Youlai Youqu a Buddhist Lamp and a vajra (a type of Demon-Subduing Pestle). He then took out a large urn, scooped out a jar of Incense Oil from it, and handed them both to Youlai Youqu, instructing, "Put this Incense Oil into the lamp and light it; the Buddha-Light will protect you. The Demon-Subduing Pestle can be used to defeat enemies."
Youlai Youqu the treasure with a respectful and courteous response.
Ao Tu then warned, "You must not steal any food."
Youlai Youqu agreed again, he carefully put away the two treasures, then bowed and left, leading the Little Demons back to the Xiezhi Cave on Qilin Mountain.
Along the way, the aroma of Incense Oil was so enticing that it was truly irresistible.
The other Demon Daoist, "What smells so good, Youlai Youqu?"
Youlai Youqu said, "It's the precious oil fragrance bestowed by our Grandmaster."
The other Little Demon, unable to resist their cravings, said, "Let us have a taste!"
Youlai Youqu quickly shook his head and said, "Our Grandmaster instructed us not to steal any food."
The other Little Demon advised, "We'll just take a lick, no one'll notice. There's a saying, 'If you become rich and powerful, don't forget your brothers.' Now that you're successful, you can't forget your brothers!"
Youlai Youqu, and thinking about it, he still refused, saying:
"The saying 'If I become rich and powerful, I will not forget you' is true, but I have never heard of anyone using this as a pretext for betrayal. My Grandmaster trusted me and taught me to take the treasure, so I cannot forget his kindness. If I must express my gratitude to my brothers, I will treat you to drinks after we have defeated Sun Wukong and received the reward."
The Little Demons, having no other choice and not daring to seize it, had no choice but to give up.
Youlai Youqu the treasures, they returned to the cave and offered sacrifices to Sai Taisui.
Sai Taisui picked up the two treasures.
Looking at that Buddhist Lamp, it was Golden Lamp before the Buddha, something only Bodhisattva could bring out.
Looking at the Demon-Subduing Pestle again, its entire body was gilded, radiating a brilliant Buddha-Light; it was Supreme Buddha Treasure.
Sai Taisui was overjoyed.
With these two treasures, one for offense and one for defense, what is there to fear from Sun Wukong anymore?
Youlai Youqu, he recounted to Sai Taisui what Ao Tu had told him about Heavenly King Li and how to use the two treasures.
Upon hearing this, Sai Taisui poured Incense Oil into the lamp. After filling it, there was still a little less than half left. Sai Taisui looked at it, told Youlai Youqu and collect their reward, and then ate the Incense Oil himself.
The Youlai Youqu to Qiyun Mountain Mist-and-Cloud Cave, a distance of 600 li, took several days.
Wukong's request for reinforcements from Heaven took even longer.
Therefore, although his Youlai Youqu was slow, he was actually faster than Wukong.
Several days later, Wukong and Bingling Gong arrived at Qilin Mountain with a group of divine soldiers and warriors, where they met up with Li Tianwang and the others.
Wukong said, "I'll go challenge them first. If the Demon doesn't come out, Bingling Gong, you should lead your men to move the mountain range, and then we'll all go forward to capture the Demon." Bingling Gong agreed and ordered Mirage Dragon to take Two Great Strongmen to hold down the mountain range from the north and south sides, and ordered Thirty-Six Strongman to drag the Earthworks, and rocks. They were ready to Mountain-Moving and Ridge-Dismantling at a moment's notice.
Wukong then stepped forward, drew his Golden Cudgel, and smashed the gate apart with a single blow, shouting, "Demon, come out! Quickly come out and pay your respects to your Sun Grandpa!"
