A Wrong Turn into Pansi Cave (Forty-One)
Meanwhile, Mahakala Bodhisattva, Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, and the others watched from outside the formation.
The Elephant-Head Bodhisattva and the other the Monks fell into the formation, and in an instant, they disappeared without a trace, like a drop of water entering the sea, their fate unknown.
After a short while, the the Monks felt the Buddhist Sect Fortune shake, and the Buddhahood of the Three Bodhisattvas and two Heavenly Deities fell one after another, their True Spirit entering the tribulation.
Under the Heavenly Dao, the general trend is hard to change. From this point on, the two religions began to separate, and East and West became distinct.
Mahakala Bodhisattva wept bitterly:
"Poor Elephant-Head Bodhisattva, Varaha Bodhisattva, and Kama Bodhisattva, for the sake of the Western Heaven's fortune, they perished and were taken away in calamity!"
Upon hearing this, the Monks were filled with grief.
Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva said, "Mahakala Bodhisattva, this formation is extremely dangerous. The Three Bodhisattvas perished almost immediately after entering it. In my opinion, it is not advisable to recklessly enter the formation again!"
Upon hearing this, Mahakala Bodhisattva stopped crying and said sorrowfully:
"Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, this is a battle of foundations, a contest of destiny. Rise and fall, survival and extinction, all rest on your shoulders. How can you allow your retreat?"
Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva said, "Then let's send someone to test them again?"
Mahakala Bodhisattva said, "The Demon Formation is treacherous; further probing will only cause more casualties. The only way now is to press on with our strength, enter the Demon Formation, break through, and annihilate the Demon Dragon!"
Upon hearing this, all the the Monks responded in agreement, and seeing this, the Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta could not object.
Mahakala Bodhisattva said, "I observe that this formation is divided into Yin and Yang and Yang. This place is the abode of the gods, which is Yang; ahead, at the Pansi Ridge, the demonic energy is very strong, which is Yin. In any Yin- Yin and Yang Formation, if you attack both places, the Yin and Yang will rotate, making it difficult to break; if you attack one place at the same time, causing the Yin and Yang to become unbalanced, it will be easy to break. We must not be scattered, but attack this place together."
The Monks all agreed upon hearing this.
Mahakala Bodhisattva then rode his white ox and charged into the formation.
The other Bodhisattva, Arhat, Heavenly Deities, Sangharama, Bhikkhu, and Monks also followed Mahakala Bodhisattva into the formation.
As soon as the the Monks entered the formation, they realized that Mahakala Bodhisattva's words were completely wrong.
Within this Great Formation of Stars of the Celestial Cycle lies no ordinary heaven, but Ancient Times heaven.
The Monks entered and each saw a different formation.
Mahakala Bodhisattva and Mahasthamaprapta entered one after the Bodhisattva. Mahakala Bodhisattva and the others landed on the sunny side, with the Sun Star above their heads, while Bodhisattva and the others landed on the shady side, with the Mahasthamaprapta and Moon Star their heads.
The other Bodhisattva Arhat also resided in different places.
The Monks observed that the formation was indeed formidable.
Within the great formation, there are nine fields in the sky, nine thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine corners, five hundred million miles from the earth; there are five stars, eight winds, Twenty-Eight Mansions constellations, five officials, six palaces, the Purple Palace, Supreme Palace Enclosure, Xuanyuan, Xianchi, four guardians, and Heavenly A.
The central point is called Jun Heaven, and its stars are Jiao, Kang, and Di.
The Eastern Lands is called the Azure Heaven, and its stars are Room, Heart, and Tail.
The northeast is said to be Bian Heaven, and its corresponding stars are Ji, Dou, and Niu.
The north is called Mysterious Heaven, and its stars are Nü, Xu, Wei, Ying, and Shi.
The northwest is called Hidden Heaven, and its stars are Bi, Kui, and Lou.
The Western Heaven Hao Heaven, and its stars are Wei, Mao, and Bi.
The southwest is called Vermilion Heaven, and its stars are Zi, Shen, and Jing.
The south is called the Flaming Heaven, and its stars are Ghost, Willow, and Star.
The southeast is called Yang Heaven, and its stars are Zhang, Yi, and Zhen.
The Monks entered the formation, each lost and disoriented, with no way to contact others. Their Monks were all crushed by the formation, their lives hanging in the balance.
Among them, the Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta, Gandhahastin Bodhisattva, Akashagarbha Bodhisattva, Sarvanivaranavishkambhin Bodhisattva, Moonlight Bodhisattva- Aksayamati Bodhisattva- Great Diligence Bodhisattva -prabha, Wisdom Banner Bodhisattva, Bhadrapala Bodhisattva, Net Light Bodhisattva Accumulated Eloquence Bodhisattva, as well as some Arhat Heavenly Deities, were all kind-hearted but indecisive. They each took action and used their own magical powers to protect their Monks.
The other Bodhisattvas, Durga Bodhisattva Mahakala Bodhisattva, Krishna Bodhisattva, and the Six-Faced Revered Deity Bodhisattva, were resolute and decisive. Seeing the the Monks being crushed by the great formation, they knew that using their magical power to protect them would only harm themselves. They knew that if they perished, the Monks would also die. Therefore, they put their palms together in front of their chests, chanted sutras to help the monks pass on, and watched as the True Spirit of the the Monks entered the tribulation.
In the blink of an eye, most of the 300,000 Buddhist Soldiers were gone.
The other the Monks looked up and saw: the stars revolved, the sun and moon shone in turn, the Four Seasons governed, Yin and Yang transformed greatly, wind and rain bestowed generously, and all things obtained their harmony to live and their nourishment to grow.
The Sun Star Lord has returned to his position, in charge of the growth of all things. When he unfurls the Sun Flag, all the Monks under the illumination of the Sun Star cannot have their magical powers renewed, their strength restored, their Fleshly Body unable to grow, or their Divine Soul nourished.
When the Taiyin Star Lord returned to her position, she controlled the waxing and waning of all things. With a wave of her Moon Flag, the Monks under the illumination of the Moon Star began to lose their magical powers, their strength, their Fleshly Body, and their Divine Soul.
With both methods employed simultaneously, the the Monks received neither a chance to live nor suffered endless decline. If this continued, those who had not yet Great Luo would perish on their own without any further action.
Mahakala Bodhisattva, Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, and others were anxious and each led their fellow Bodhisattva to rush into the Nine Realms, intending to break through the Nine Realms of Heaven and shatter the Sun and Moon stars.
Upon seeing this, all the Host of Stars came to protect and guard it.
Ao Tu sat at the core, gently manipulating the Hetu Luoshu, causing the gods to shift positions. He deployed mid-level gods and Demon against ordinary Bodhisattva Arhat, and high-level gods and Demon against mid-level Bodhisattva Arhat. He also relied on Taibai, Mars, Mercury Star, Jupiter Star, Saturn Star, and the Five Dipper Star Lords to coordinate the overall strategy and surround and kill the high-level Bodhisattva Arhat.
As for those Bodhisattva Arhat who had reached the Great Luo Cultivation Realm, they were placed in the core and personally surrounded and killed by the Taiyin Star Lord, the Sun Star Lord, and himself.
Marichi Bodhisattva holds Vajras, bow and arrow, long knife, Solar Disc, and sutra scroll, and rides a seven-pig cart. She possesses the great supernatural Supernatural Ability of invisibility, and cannot be seen by any gods, Heavenly Deities, spirits, or ghosts.
Supernatural Ability, supernatural powers could not overcome fate. The traces of Marichi Bodhisattva were revealed by the Hetu Luoshu. Ao Tu ordered the Southern Dipper Star Lord of Fate to apply vermilion ink to Marichi Bodhisattva's body. The Southern Dipper True Lord of Calamity Relief used the Disaster Relief Mirror to shine a light on her, sending the Seven Pigs Chariot back to its calamity.
Marichi Bodhisattva was filled with grief, and because her power was greatly reduced due to the influence of the sun and moon Laws within the great formation, she dared not advance. She wanted to retreat using her own Laws to avert disaster, but her Laws were devoured by the Ghost Gold Ram of the Southern Vermilion Bird Seven Mansions.
The Xingri Ma, with a Long Spear in its mouth, pierced straight into the abdomen of Marichi Bodhisattva, burning her internal organs.
The Willow Earth Roe climbed onto the face of Marichi Bodhisattva, and together with the Ghost Gold Ram, they each ate half of it, devouring it completely, and then divided the Magic Treasure equally.
The True Spirit of Marichi Bodhisattva then departed into the kalpa.
The Eternal Wheel Bodhisattva holds Dharma Wheel, Jewel, Vajras bell, and Lotus Flower. He possesses the Laws of the Dharma Wheel constantly turning and eternally indestructible, placing him among the highest ranks below the Great Luo.
Unfortunately, within the Great Formation of Stars of the Celestial Cycle, under the illumination of the sun and moon, the Laws of Eternal Wheel Bodhisattva were stripped away. Ao Tu then arranged for Wenqu Star Lord to seize his wisdom and Wuqu Star Lord to seize his martial prowess. Despite possessing immense magical power, Eternal Wheel Bodhisattva was powerless to use it. Greedy Wolf Star Lord severed his legs with a single sword strike, and Taibai Star Xingjun split his skull open with a single sword strike. His cultivation over countless eons turned to ashes, and his treasures were divided among the four, leaving only a wisp of his True Spirit to enter the tribulation.
The Prajnaparamita Bodhisattva holds a sword of Wisdom and a pure Lotus Flower, possessing inexhaustible Wisdom that illuminates and dispels all ignorance, afflictions, and illusory Supernatural Ability Laws.
Ao Tu instructed the three Star Lords of the Eastern Dipper and the Jupiter Star to obstruct him.
The three Star Lords of the Eastern Dipper resisted the Prajnaparamita Bodhisattva.
The Eastern Lands Jupiter Star, Star Lord Chonghua, dropped a white jade ring, which caused the Calamity Qi Fleshly Body of Prajnaparamita Bodhisattva to dissipate, restoring its Wisdom. The Bodhisattva knelt down, begged for mercy, offered the treasure, and its soul was preserved.
The Remover of Sorrow and Darkness Bodhisattva holds Jewel of light, a sword of Wisdom, Lotus Flower, and a bright lamp. With the Laws of pure light, he illuminates and dispels the ignorance in the heart, specifically targeting sorrow, fear, anxiety, and inner demons.
Ao Tu taught the Saturn Star, the Earth Virtue Star Lord, to place a large seal of the Earth Official on the back of the Remover of Sorrow and Darkness Bodhisattva, rendering the Remover of Sorrow and Darkness Bodhisattva unable to move.
Taibai Star slashed down with his sword, severing his head.
Ask if they are willing to surrender.
The answer was no.
They then killed him and divided the treasure equally.
The Remover of Sorrow and Darkness Bodhisattva True Spirit after entering the calamity.
Chandrakirti Bodhisattva holds a sutra scroll, Buddhist Staff, and Buddhist Prayer Beads. He possesses Meditation Supernatural Ability, Mind Reading, and Heavenly Eye.
Unfortunately, under the Great Formation of Stars of the Celestial Cycle, the sky was no longer the usual sky, and these Supernatural Ability were all obscure and unclear.
The Scorpion Demon hid in the shadows, waiting for the Chandrakirti Bodhisattva to return. She stung him, knocking Chandrakirti Bodhisattva down.
Crow Spirit flew in, pecked out its eyes, and shattered its Golden Body.
The Toad Spirit swallowed it whole, and the treasure was divided equally.
The True Spirit of Chandrakirti Bodhisattva has departed into the calamity.
The Six-Faced Revered Deity Bodhisattva and the Skanda Bodhisattva each hold a spear, a Vajras, a divine bow, and a battle axe.
The Six-Faced Revered Deity Bodhisattva has six heads and six faces, possessing Supernatural Ability that allow him to observe all directions and perceive all enemy situations.
The Skanda Bodhisattva is in charge of Slaughter and warfare, commands the Asura Host, and possesses the power of a war god.
Within the great formation, the Supernatural Ability of the two Bodhisattva were completely suppressed by the Formation.
The Mastiff Spirit stepped forward and bit one of the heads of the Six-Faced Revered Deity Bodhisattva.
The Skanda Bodhisattva used his battle axe to cleave the Mastiff Spirit, but unexpectedly, the Mastiff Spirit demon possessed Supernatural Ability of having a Copper Head and Iron Brains. In the great formation, with the strength of the opposing forces diminishing, the mastiff demon withstood four blows from the Skanda Bodhisattva without letting go. It even tasted the Bodhisattva's divine blood between its canine teeth and managed to tear off one of its heads.
Taking advantage of the Crab Spirit stepped forward and used its two claws, one on the left and one on the right, to clamp down on the two heads of the Six-Faced Revered Deity Bodhisattva and break them off.
Tiger Vanguard smashed a head with a hammer.
Taking advantage of the situation, the old Mountain Goat Spirit threw a box of Poison Pill pills into the body of the Six-Faced Revered Deity Bodhisattva through the severed head. The Six-Faced Revered Deity Bodhisattva was surrounded and attacked by the demons, and was so badly injured that he was unable to expel the poison. After a while, the Poison entered his stomach, turning his flesh and blood into nothing but an empty shell, and his True Spirit went into the tribulation.
When the Skanda Bodhisattva saw his friend die, he was furious. He drew his bow and shot out one of the eyes of the giant Crab Spirit.
But at that moment, the White Bone Spirit Demon leaped forward, spewing out two gusts of Yin Wind from her hands, blinding the Skanda Bodhisattva.
Red Boy spewed out Samadhi True Fire, which burned the Skanda Bodhisattva.
The Skanda Bodhisattva roared in misery and anger, straightened his war bow, turning it into a long staff, and wielded a battle axe in his other hand, waving it around in all directions, his body engulfed in flames, as he charged towards the demons.
Unfortunately, the White Bone Spirit blinded him, and he could not see the road ahead.
The Golden Ox Star Lord had just finished fighting and killing an Arhat with other Star Lords and was dividing the treasures when he saw his son in danger. He quickly came down and fanned himself with a Banana Leaf Fan fan, instantly sending the Skanda Bodhisattva Tuoluo to the within the Sun Star he turned into ashes, and his True Spirit returned to the calamity.
There was also the Gandhahastin Bodhisattva, who held the Wisdom Vajra, the Prajna Lotus Flower, and the Concentration Jewel, and possessed the supernatural power of Supernatural Ability. He was suppressed by the two Star Lords of the Western Dipper, but surrendered to protect the lives of his the Monks.
The Moonlight Bodhisattva holds Moonlight Essence Jewel, a cool Lotus Flower, and a pure light Dharma Wheel. She possesses the Supernatural Ability to harmonize Yin and Yang, and to eliminate disasters and cure diseases. She is a great Bodhisattva under the seat of the Medicine Buddha of Lapis Lazuli Light.
Because many of their properties were located in the Western Heaven, they were unwilling to give them up. Therefore, they followed Mahakala Bodhisattva to Subduing Demons the demon. After entering the battle, they witnessed endless tragedies and the deaths of the Monks. They felt remorse and surrendered to save themselves.
The Aksayamati Bodhisattva, holding Treasure Banner and a rope of compassion, possesses the supernatural powers to understand causes and conditions, know the intentions of sentient beings, and save Supernatural Ability according to their kind. He was severely injured and forced to surrender by the combined forces of the Northern Black Tortoise Seven Mansions, the Dou and Niu constellations, the Tian Shang Heavenly Injury Star, the Tian An Star, and the Tian Gu Star.
The Great Diligence Bodhisattva, wielding the sword of Diligence, the Vajras, and the Bodhi banner, possessed the supernatural Supernatural Ability to dispel laziness, sloth, and regression. He was defeated and subdued by the Kui and Lou White Tiger Seven Mansions of the Western Heaven White Tiger.
The Wisdom Banner Bodhisattva, holding the Wisdom Treasure Banner, the Sword of Illumination, and the Prajna Pearl, possesses the Supernatural Ability to dispel ignorance, delusion, and prejudice. He was struck by Nezha with the Universe Ring, which instantly awakened his mind, and he then subdued Nezha.
The Bhadrapala Bodhisattva, holding the Guardian canopy, the Root of Goodness bead, and the Precept -Precept-Keeping flower, possesses the Supernatural Ability to protect the roots of goodness, safeguard the Precepts, and bring peace to the minds and bodies of sentient beings. He was severely injured by Heavenly Lord Qin with lightning and Heavenly Lord Zhao with fire, and surrendered for the safety of the the Monks.
The Net Light Bodhisattva, holding a net and Jewel of light, possessed the supernatural Supernatural Ability of Wisdom and light that covered the ten directions like a net, illuminating everywhere. He was defeated by the Lightning God and the Wind-Assisting Deity, and surrendered for the safety of the the Monks.
The Accumulated Eloquence Bodhisattva possessed the Unobstructed Pearl and the Wonderful Sound Flower, and had the supernatural Supernatural Ability to refute heretics and enlighten sentient beings. He was suppressed by the three constellations of the Azure Dragon of the Eastern Lands, namely Horn, Neck, and Root. Taibai Star cut off his head and shoulders with a sword, and he then surrendered.
In addition, most of the other Arhat, Guardian Heavenly Deities, Bhikkhu Sangharama in the calamity, while a few surrendered and were preserved.
Then, six bodhisattvas— Mahakala Bodhisattva, Mahasthamaprapta, Bodhisattva, Krishna Bodhisattva, Akashagarbha Bodhisattva, Immeasurable Light Bodhisattva —led the Great Luo, along with Sarvanivaranavishkambhin Bodhisattva Durga Bodhisattva, Narasimha Bodhisattva, Rama Arhat, Tara Bodhisattva, Vajras Scepter Arhat, the Heavenly Deities Guardian of Merit, Indra Guardian, Mahavairocana, Kalika Arhat, Moon Heavenly Deities Guardian, and Saraswati Guardian— Lakshmi Guardian through numerous obstacles Guardian reach the Sun Star Sun Heavenly Deities Moon Star, preparing to destroy them and then break the Formation.
Mahakala Bodhisattva turned his gaze to Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva and others who were still protecting many Monks with their magical power, and advised them:
"Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, this is no ordinary time; it is a matter of life and death. You must not abandon great good because of small acts of kindness!"
The Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva said, "They are all my followers who came because of my summons. If I do not protect them, they will die."
Mahakala Bodhisattva said, "If the Demon Dragon is destroyed, the number of believers will be endless in the future. What does this matter? If we waste our magical power protecting them and are unable to defeat the Demon Dragon, then all Faith will be lost and the the Path enlightenment will turn to dust. I urge you, Bodhisattva, to distinguish between what is important and what is not!"
Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva shook his head again, saying, "I practice the Bodhisattva path and cultivate compassion. How can there be a distinction between before and after, or between large and small? I cannot abandon my current followers because of future prosperity; nor can I abandon small good deeds because of great good intentions. This is not my the Path."
Mahakala Bodhisattva was at a loss upon hearing this.
Among the Bodhisattva, Akashagarbha Bodhisattva, Sarvanivaranavishkambhin Bodhisattva, and others agreed with the words of Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva. Krishna Bodhisattva, Durga Bodhisattva, and others agreed with the words of Mahakala Bodhisattva.
Although the Bodhisattva had slightly different ideologies, they still united to prepare to break the formation.
Six Bodhisattva of the Great Luo level arrived together, but Ao Tu was not afraid.
These six are just ordinary Great Luo.
Ao Tu killed these six people; he didn't even need to take the Seven Treasures Wonderful Tree.
Even now, the Tathagata Buddha has not yet made a move, and he couldn't help but admire the Great Monk's composure and magnanimity.
Since that's the case, he decided to send all six of them into the abyss, just to intimidate others.
Ao Tu raised his hand and gently flicked the Hetu Luoshu, communicating with the Heavenly Dao and severing the the Path Attainment of the Dao for the six people.
The six members of the Mahakala Bodhisattva were within the formation and were completely unaware of this change.
Within the Great Formation of Stars of the Celestial Cycle, the sun and moon revolve, and the Stars alternate.
Mahakala Bodhisattva and his companions headed straight for the Sun Star and the Moon Star. They had been very close to them, but they just couldn't catch up.
Fifteen million years have passed in the blink of an eye. Apart from the six Bodhisattva at the Great Luo level, the rest of the Bodhisattva, because their Yang energy was not generated and their Yin energy was not increased within the great formation, were all exhausted, their inner worlds were dried up, and their bodies were on the verge of collapse.
Little did the six know that this was the alternation of the sun and moon, the change of time. The rising and setting of the sun and moon constituted one day, and the six were trapped within this one day. How could they possibly catch up with the sun and moon? They traveled for fifteen million years, yet it was still just one day in the outside world.
The six people's the Path was severed once again. Although they were still in the form of Great Luo Immortal, they had lost the Great Luo realm. It was as if they had been abandoned by Heaven and Earth and kept in the dark.
In the end, it was Immeasurable Light Bodhisattva who first discovered it. He smiled bitterly, clasped his hands together in front of his chest, and passed away, transforming into a Sarira that emitted boundless light that shone in all directions, breaking through the changes in the Formation and allowing all the Bodhisattva to escape.
The Immeasurable Light Bodhisattva then sent one of his True Spirit into the calamity.
