Demon-slaying at Lion Camel Ridge (46)
Amitabha Buddha then reached out and stopped the the Monks.
The Monks said, "The Demon Dragon is exhausted. Why doesn't Buddha allow us to rid ourselves of this scourge?"
Amitabha Buddha pointed to the Pangu Phantom and said, "Look."
The Monks looked over and saw that the Pangu Phantom was filled with overwhelming Evil Qi and murderous aura. Although it was weak, it was terrifying.
Looking at the Demon Dragon again, the Evil Qi emanating from it was even more profound than that of the Pangu Phantom, surpassing even that of the Land of the Nine Netherworlds.
The Monks, filled with fear, all retreated.
Amitabha Buddha said, "You all retreat now, let me capture him."
Upon hearing this, Guanyin Bodhisattva reached out to protect Ao Tu's Dragon Horn and shield him from the Ao Tu pearl around his Dragon Pearl, saying, "This disciple wishes to take Ao Tu as a disciple and take him to Mount Luojia to guide him towards goodness. I hope Buddha will grant my request."
Amitabha Buddha said, "Alright."
Guanyin Bodhisattva then turned to Ao Tu and said, "Come with me quickly."
Ao Tu's pupils had turned pitch black as he laughed, "It was already agreed, Teacher, you don't need to trouble yourself with me."
Guanyin Bodhisattva saw that the Evil Qi had taken hold of Ao Tu's heart and said urgently, "Your body is exhausted and your mind has been taken over by that Evil Corpse. If you delay any longer, your Great Dao will be cut off."
Upon hearing this, Ao Tu sighed and admitted, "Teacher, that was me."
Guanyin Bodhisattva was stunned and asked, "What?"
Ao Tu declared to the crowd, "Alas, I am Self!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the sky changed dramatically.
Above the Nine Heavens, time descended, birth and death changed, and from the Future appeared a person who stood beside Ao Tu, cupped his hands and smiled, saying, "Self have met you, fellow Daoist!"
Ao Tu said, "No need for formalities, beat that old monk!"
The Self Corpse laughed loudly, took out a bag, and with Merit, unfurled it in the wind. The bag opened, releasing endless resentment that swept across Heaven and Earth. Within it, billions of Vengeful Souls wailed and cried out, breaking through the Green Lotus and Śarīra light of Amitabha Buddha's relics, trying to take the two treasures into the bag.
Amitabha Buddha thought to himself that this "Self Corpse" had emerged too early. He hurriedly hid the Eastern Green Lotus Treasure-Colored Banner and the Sarira in his bosom, and carried the bag with his Fleshly Body Kasaya, causing his cassock to flutter and his skin to tremble.
Ao Tu cried out "Come back!" Self returned to himself, receiving the blessing of endless Evil Qi. The Pangu Phantom wielded an axe and slashed down.
Perhaps fearing that his clothes would be torn and he would lose face, Amitabha Buddha caught the axe, crushed it with a "bang," and then struck out with his palm, scattering the Pangu Phantom.
Ao Tu 'Dragon Form fell to the ground.
Amitabha Buddha stepped forward and said, "Fellow Daoist, you have severed your Self prematurely, but the lost vital energy will not be restored. You should come with me to the Western Paradise to recuperate."
Ao Tu chuckled, his Dragon Form straining to stand up. He swayed and nearly fell, but managed to get back to his feet.
Amitabha Buddha looked behind Ao Tu, where a majestic Pangu True Form had risen up along with Ao Tu and was now staring at him, causing Amitabha Buddha's heart to tighten slightly.
Ao Tu's left hand clenched loosely, his body staggering, and a Giant Axe suddenly landed in the Pangu True Form, causing the Heaven and Earth to tremble.
Upon seeing this, all Three Thousand Great Daos panicked, and their Laws became disordered.
Someone nearby tried to start a fire to cook, but it accidentally attracted water.
Someone was digging a well for water, but instead found a pile of Grass and Wood inside.
Someone rode a horse on a long journey, traveling thirty li before dismounting to rest. However, they didn't know why they had traveled back a month.
A family was poor and had been starving for three days, but suddenly experienced abdominal distension and defecation, after which they were no longer hungry.
This is because the Laws of Heaven and Earth and earth have become chaotic due to fear.
All living things share this fear.
The Vishnu Bodhisattva and others dared not move.
Ao Tu ordered the demons to leave first.
The demons then retreated.
Amitabha Buddha paid no heed, focusing solely on the Pangu True Form. He couldn't help but sigh inwardly, "Sage are no ordinary people. How could anyone else so easily summon the Pangu True Form?"
Ao Tu said, "I possess Heaven-Opening Form; I now request the Sage to test it."
Amitabha Buddha said, "Please, fellow practitioner."
Ao Tu leaped up, imitating the image of Pangu, becoming the dragon that Creation of Heaven.
Pangu True Form stood with his head touching the sky and his feet planted on the ground. He stomped his left foot, causing a shock of turbid air, and then grasped the Giant Axe with both his right and left hands, raising it and drawing a half circle in the air.
This happened when Pangu Creation of Heaven. The Three Thousand Great Daos tried to stop him, Great God Pangu swept his Giant Axe across them and dispersed the Three Thousand Great Daos that had surrounded them.
Ao Tu doesn't have as many people attacking him now, but he still imitates Pangu's battle tactics and draws a half circle.
Within that half-circle of Axe Light, the Three Thousand Laws vanished without a trace, turning into nothingness.
Unfortunately, without items like the Chaos Bell, Pangu Banner, Taiji Diagram, and the Four Swords of Zhuxian, the Pangu Axe was merely a phantom. Otherwise, having a few of these would have greatly increased its power.
The Giant Axe fell with a vengeance, landing squarely on the Buddhism and Daoism between Heaven and Earth and earth.
A deafening roar was heard Three Realms.
Under the watchful eyes of the Three Pure Ones, Nuwa, the Jade Emperor, the Queen Mother, and others, a tiny, almost imperceptible opening was cleaved in the seemingly indestructible Buddhist Sect the Path.
This marked the beginning of the the Two Sages’ Division.
Amitabha Buddha was overjoyed, but soon his Dao Wound flared up, causing his scalp to itch uncontrollably. He couldn't help but want to scratch it, but with all the saints watching, he felt it was inconvenient.
What he didn't expect was that after Ao Tu unleashed that Creation of Heaven axe, he didn't stop because he was exhausted. Instead, with his boundless comprehension, he grasped part of the trajectory of the next few axe blows and immediately followed with the second one.
Amitabha Buddha was greatly alarmed. This is why Sage cannot outwit Sage.
Because of his Dao Wound, he was unbearably itchy on his head, and due to his carelessness, he did not expect a second axe blow.
By the time the second axe came, it was too late to dodge.
As the axe fell, Amitabha Buddha only had time to raise his arm to block it, but the blow tore his Kasaya open, exposing his arm.
Without a second thought, the third axe came right away, striking Amitabha Buddha on the shoulder. Although it couldn't harm the holy body, it knocked Amitabha Buddha down from the air and onto the ground, leaving him covered in dust.
In fact, these two axe blows were far less powerful than the first one, because they were merely a rough deduction by Ao Tu based on the trajectory of the first axe blow, and were not complete.
However, the Laws of power was so domineering that even though it was incomplete, Amitabha Buddha was still knocked down.
Then came the fourth and fifth axe blows, each one weaker than the last. But Ao Tu noticed the injury on the back of Amitabha Buddha's head, so he focused his attacks on the bald head, making Amitabha Buddha unbearably itchy, a thousand times more painful than having his ribs scratched. He could only hug his bald head and dodge.
After hacking away ten times with his axe, Ao Tu was severely weakened. Seeing that the demons had left, he threw out the Black Ship and vanished in an instant.
As he was leaving, Ao Tu realized that he had been so focused on attacking Amitabha Buddha that he had forgotten to use a different move to kill the Bodhisattva Arhat to avenge the Tiger Vanguard.
Oh well, such techniques shouldn't be used lightly; it would be a waste to use them on Bodhisattva Arhat. It's more worthwhile to use them on Amitabha Buddha.
Although Ao Tu tried his best but failed to break even a hair on Amitabha Buddha's head, he was still quite an achievement to have managed to lose face.
Moreover, I truly vented my Evil Qi, and my thoughts became much clearer. I even severed my Self Corpse, so it can be considered a very fruitful outcome.
As for those Bodhisattva Arhat, they can be destroyed with a flick of the wrist; the next tribulation will simply be to kill them.
On the other side, Amitabha Buddha only got up after Ao Tu left.
Although Ao Tu failed to injure him, the ten axe blows aggravated his Dao Wound, causing an intense itch on the back of his head that he couldn't resist scratching.
Everyone was watching.
The Three Pure Ones couldn't help but chuckle.
The Tongtian Cult Master had already opened his mouth, just waiting for Amitabha Buddha to scratch it, and then he laughed loudly.
