Tears Fell on Hidden Mist Mountain (6)
Now, Ao Tu stepped forward.
The Little Demons were all somewhat frightened upon seeing this.
A Demon Daoist, "This... this is a Daoist, isn't it?"
Another Demon Daoist, "I've heard that Daoist are not to be trifled with!"
The other Demon Daoist, "Why don't we go back and find our leader first?"
All the demons agreed and prepared to flee back.
Ao Tu said, "You think you can just leave after hurting someone?"
After speaking, he waved the banner, releasing Yin-Yang Two Qi that wrapped up several small Demon, turning them into Golden Flower that hung there.
Upon seeing this, the hunters all knelt down and worshipped the Immortal.
Ao Tu laughed and said, "I am not Immortal, but Daoist. What I just used was merely a Subduing Demons."
Upon hearing this, the hunters continued to kowtow and express their gratitude, saying:
"Immortal Master! Since you possess magical powers, do you have the ability to revive the dead? He was severely injured and is on the verge of death!"
The hunters carried up the man who had just been hit by the meteor hammer and invited Ao Tu to see him.
Ao Tu glanced at it and smiled, "A minor injury. Is there any water?"
The young man quickly brought over the kettle.
Ao Tu took out a yellow talisman from his robes, flicked it lightly, and the talisman lit and dissolved in the water. He said, "Give him this to drink, and his injuries will heal!"
The young man quickly gave the Talisman Water to the injured hunter.
The wounded hunter drank the Talisman Water, and sure enough, his injuries healed completely. There wasn't a single scar on his chest, and his body was much stronger, except that his clothes had several holes in them.
Seeing this, the hunters were even more convinced that Ao Tu was Immortal, and they knelt down and prayed, "Immortal Master, please rid us of this scourge in the mountains!"
Ao Tu said, "I can help you get rid of this calamity, but I am not some Immortal priest. Just call me the Virtuous Daoist."
The hunters exclaimed joyfully, "We will never forget the Virtuous Daoist Master Youde!"
Ao Tu led the hunters along the mountain path into the deep mountains, to the "Hidden Mist Mountain Zheyue Lianhuan Cave," where they saw the Black Dog Spirit and several other minor Demon. They unfurled the banner and hung them all on it.
The hunters were overjoyed and wanted to kill all the Demon.
Ao Tu said, "No, they are sentient beings, and they no longer harm people. They must not be killed."
Upon hearing this, the hunters dared not disobey Ao Tu's wishes, so they brought more firewood, intending to burn down the cave.
Ao Tu said, "Don't burn it. I've been traveling across the four continents and found this place to be a rare place for secluded cultivation, where spiritual energy is hidden. I intend to build Cave Abode dwelling here. If you set it on fire, I won't be able to stay."
The hunters exclaimed with delight, "Master, you reside here; may you accept disciples?"
Ao Tu said, "Of course, but accepting disciples requires understanding the principle of predestined affinity. Tomorrow, after I have tidied up my Cave Abode, I will give a lecture here. If you are interested, come and listen. Those who are destined may enter the sect."
The hunters were overjoyed and said they would help Ao Tu tidy up his Cave Abode, even giving up the traps and snares that hadn't been collected down the mountain.
Ao Tu smiled and shook his head, saying, "No need for that, they've got the work to do!"
He then shook the banner in his hand, and several small Demon fell down.
The Black Dog Spirit said, "Old Daoist, my Great King is the infamous Demon Dragon Ao Tu, renowned Three Realms. How dare you act so presumptuously here?"
Ao Tu laughed, "What Demon Dragon? What Ao Tu? I've never heard of him! You all get to work right now, or anyone who slacks off will get a whipping!"
The Demon were unwilling upon hearing this.
Ao Tu then conjured up several whips and ordered the Hunter to use them.
The Hunter were overjoyed, picked up their whips, and swung them around with a loud cracking sound.
The Demon were beaten so badly they begged for mercy and had no choice but to work for Ao Tu reluctantly.
Ao Tu then told the Hunter to go back.
After the Demon finished cleaning their Cave Abode, Ao Tu then ordered them to work as carpenters and Shijiang, repairing the cave and making furniture.
The Little Leopard Spirit, listless and weak, swung their pickaxes and saws, their bodies filled with reluctance.
Ao Tu, carrying the banner, surveyed the Demon. If he saw any of them slacking off or moving too slowly, he would poke or hit them twice.
After the demons finally finished their work, Ao Tu found the Immortal Elixir they had hidden and took it away.
The Little Demons wailed in despair.
A little Demon couldn't help but say to the Black Dog Spirit:
"My goodness! This Daoist is utterly wicked! He made me do hard labor all day without paying me a penny, and even stole the Elixir Pills I was so reluctant to take! If Daoist is this wicked, how wicked must a monk be?"
The Black Dog Spirit said, "That goes without saying, the monk is definitely worse! We need to find a way to escape now and go to the Third Great King to seek justice for us!"
The Demon nodded.
As night fell, the Black Dog Spirit awoke and led the demons out of the Cave Gate. They had just stepped outside when they bumped into a banner, and all the Demon were caught on it.
The next day, at the crack of dawn, all the Hunter knelt outside the Mountain Gate, each bringing tea, fruit, and pastries as gifts.
Ao Tu opened the door and said with a smile, "I'm giving a sermon here, so there's no need to prepare gifts."
The young man, somewhat quick-witted, chuckled and said, "These are to thank the Daoist priest for removing the demonic aura from us!"
Ao Tu accepted the offer and instructed the Hunter to each carry a Meditation Cushion and sit cross-legged on the flat ground at the cave entrance.
Ao Tu then preached Taoist Technique inside the cave.
If someone can comprehend it, they can enter the cave and become a disciple.
The Daoist arts that Ao Tu taught were not difficult; they were the Great Product Celestial Immortal Mudra. Anyone with comprehension similar to that of Monkey could understand them.
Unfortunately, the hunters' comprehension was somewhat lacking. Ao Tu explained for a whole morning, but no one was able to grasp it. The most comprehension-oriented among them only grasped a little bit of the breathing technique, which was not even a superficial understanding.
At noon, when the Sun was at its strongest, all the hunters were starving.
Ao Tu said, "Alright, let's talk about it tomorrow. Take some rice home so you don't have no means of livelihood and your wives and children won't blame you."
Upon hearing this, the hunters repeatedly bowed in gratitude, exclaiming that he was truly Immortal.
Ao Tu then waved the banner, throwing all the Demon down and instructing them to cultivate the land on the flat ground outside the cave.
Having been hung up for a day, how could the Demon have the strength to cultivate the land?
Ao Tu then gave the hunters whips, and the Demon, upon seeing this, suddenly felt stronger.
They were indeed Demon, strong and healthy. The Black Dog Spirit, in particular, was Three Zhang tall after transforming into its Original Form. When harnessed to a plow, it could plow faster than ten oxen.
In less than half an hour, twenty acres of land had been reclaimed.
Ao Tu took out a bag of seeds and taught the Demon how to sow them.
The Demon were all hardworking and conscientious. They had just finished cultivating the land and hadn't even drunk a drop of water. Ao Tu taught them how to sow seeds, they didn't complain at all.
Perhaps he was influenced by Ao Tu's virtue.
Seeing this, the hunters Earthly Way confusion:
"Virtuous Daoist Master, what are you doing? The soil in these mountains is infertile; it's only just been cleared. How can it possibly grow crops? If you need grain, we'll pool our resources and offer it to you!"
Ao Tu laughed and said, "I just told you I would give you white rice. If I don't sow the seeds, how can rice grow out of thin air?"
The hunters couldn't help but laugh upon hearing this, saying, "Master, you jest! If you sow seeds now, they won't be fully grown until the autumn harvest at the earliest!"
Ao Tu smiled but remained silent.
Soon after, the seeds were all sown.
Ao Tu raised his hand and cast Witchcraft, and twenty acres of grain grew instantly, each grain large and plump, almost falling over.
