Praying for Rain in Fengxian County (VIII)

Meanwhile, Wukong's rampage at Spirit Mountain finally alarmed the Tathagata Buddha.

Wukong then told the Buddha everything about Alu and introduced him to Tathagata Buddha.

After hearing this, the Tathagata Buddha laughed and said:

"Wukong, I already know about Alu's matter. Go back and tell him that to attain Arhats Path, one must sever the afflictions of the Three Realms, eradicate the three fetters of greed, anger, and ignorance, and attain great liberation to become Arhat."

Wukong laughed and said, "Buddha, there's no need to say anything, this disciple already knows. I've come here to ask you for a private favor!"

The Tathagata Buddha said, "Wukong, do you know that from desire arises sorrow, from sorrow arises fear, and thus all kinds of suffering arise! We, the Buddhist Sect Disciple, are enlightened and radiant; we cannot indulge in personal feelings!"

Upon hearing this, Kasyapa was immediately smug and laughed:

"Sun Wukong, why don't you leave? This is not a place for you to indulge in personal matters!"

Wukong wanted to say more.

The Tathagata Buddha waved his hand and said:

"Wukong, go! Go! Don't concern yourself with this anymore! Go and protect your master!"

Having no other choice, Wukong left Spirit Mountain and returned to Fengxian County.

Fortunately, at least the Merit were recovered.

Return to the cave.

Taoist Baoshan asked, "Has the matter been accomplished?"

Wukong said, "Not yet."

He then recounted the whole story to everyone.

Tang Sanzang sighed, "The Buddha's words are the ultimate truth."

Taoist Baoshan laughed and said, "What profound truth? It's nothing more Tathagata Monk's excuse!"

Having said that, he drew his Precious Sword and slashed at the chains binding Alu.

Wukong was startled and quickly took out his Golden Cudgel from his ear to stop him.

There was no sound of weapons clashing.

The Precious Sword sliced through the Golden Cudgel without any resistance and landed on the chains out of thin air.

With a "bang," the chains turned to Powder.

Cloud Tower Palace, Heavenly King Li's heart stirred. He realized that the divine lock he had set up had been broken. He was furious and walked out with his sword drawn.

Upon reaching the outside of the hall, Nezha was sleeping by the Lotus Pond, his little mouth glistening with the scent of pears, murmuring something about how delicious Pear were.

Heavenly King Li let out a heavy, cold snort.

Nezha was suddenly awakened.

It turned out that the pears that the Demon Dragon had just sent were so delicious that he sent six in total: one for Nezha, one for Mucha, one for Jin Zha, one for Xiao Zhenying, and one each for Heavenly King Li and his wife.

Because it was sent by Xiao Zhenying, she couldn't resist eating her own on the way. Nezha ate the remaining five, filling his little belly until it was round. He fell asleep contentedly, and in his dream, he was drinking and eating pears with Demon Dragon.

Nezha was startled awake by Heavenly King Li's cold snort. He wondered if he had said something in his sleep, perhaps revealing his identity as Demon Dragon to Li Jing.

Nezha's expression shifted between light and dark. He pressed his hand on the Universe Ring on his wrist and asked cautiously, "Father King, what has made you angry?"

Heavenly King Li, "The Demon Evil of the Lower Realm have rebelled against Heaven and broken the Restriction I set up. Their crimes are unforgivable! My son Nezha, quickly descend to the Lower Realm and punish the rebels!"

Upon hearing this, Nezha breathed a sigh of relief and agreed. He then took off his Lotus Flower battle robe, wielded his Demon-Slaying Sword, rode on his Wind -Wind Fire Wheels, and wore the Universe-Splitting Silk (a magical ribbon), looking majestic and heroic as he followed behind Heavenly King Li.

Heavenly King Li mustered Three Thousand Soldiers and Generals, appointed the Giant Spirit God as the Vanguard, obtained Immortal Horse from Bimawen, and retrieved a document from Wuqu Star Lord Lower Realm.

Before long, they arrived at Fengxian County. Thunder and lightning roared, heavenly fire blazed, divine might shook the land, and War Drums thundered. Mortal were filled with panic.

Water Virtue Star Lord thought that he had been caught and that the Jade Emperor had sent people to arrest him. He was so frightened that he hurriedly fled back to his Aquatic Palace, wrote a letter of apology, and also wrote another Account Book, listing Immortal who had received his Merit over the years, so that he could keep it as a guarantee.

After the Account Book was written, no Heavenly Soldiers and Generals came to the door. They carefully went out to check and saw that the Divine Cloud had gone to Sweet Rain Mountain.

When the Water Virtue Star Lord saw this, he realized that Alu had gotten into trouble. He felt somewhat relieved, but he was still uneasy, fearing that Alu would expose him. So he secretly followed him.

In the mountains, Taoist Baoshan and Wukong and the others were still struggling.

Taoist Baoshan urged Alu to hurry up and leave with him.

Alu thought that the Taoist Baoshan shouldn't have directly broken the Divine Chains, because Heaven would surely punish him, and the people of Fengxian County would suffer.

Wukong and his companions were also anxious.

At this moment, the Giant Spirit God, as the Vanguard, led five hundred Heavenly Soldiers to arrive.

Heavenly King Li was still in the back asking Wuqu Star Lord for the document to the Lower Realm. Juling Shen was responsible for eliminating demons and evil Giant Spirit God, so he led Small Detachment of Soldiers and Horses down to the Lower Realm first.

In fact, most Demon Evil and evil spirits in the Lower Realm could be wiped out by the Giant Spirit God leading a few hundred Heavenly Soldiers.

Demon like Sun Wukong and the Bull Demon King are extremely rare; it's only because Western Ox Continent is a land of outstanding people and abundant resources that so many of them have come together.

The Giant Spirit God revealed half of its body in the clouds, majestic and tall, wielding two large Xuanhua Great Axe, and roared:

"Alu, you have violated the Heavenly Laws and have been imprisoned here by the Heavenly King. Yet you dare to break free of your Restriction without remorse! What is your punishment? Surrender now!"

Alu said with a bitter expression, "Uncle-Master, we have indeed incurred Heavenly Punishment! You should leave quickly, lest you be implicated!"

Taoist Baoshan laughed and said, "Why fear a mere Heavenly Punishment?"

Having said that, he threw a Heart-Piercing Lock and flew into the air. A flash of Jewel Light appeared, and the lock pierced through the heart of the Giant Spirit God. The Giant Spirit God immediately spat out a mouthful of Bile, clutched his chest, and fell off the Divine Cloud.

Subsequently, Heavenly King Li arrived with his troops.

Taoist Baoshan then threw away the Heart-Piercing Lock.

Once the Jewel Light faded...

"Ouch!"

Heavenly King Li cried out in pain, clutching his chest, and fell from the clouds.

The Heavenly Horse neighed, but was also pierced by the Heart-Piercing Lock. Its four legs stretched out in pain, and it plummeted from the clouds.

The White Dragon Horse was terrified, lowered its head to eat grass, and dared not utter a sound.

Nezha shouted, "You wicked scoundrel, what kind of hidden weapon did you use to harm my Father King!"

Having said that, he drew his Demon-Slaying Sword and attacked.

The Taoist Baoshan threw away his Green Lotus Treasure Crown, which transformed into a Third-Grade Green Lotus that spun around and released its Creation Qi, enveloping Nezha inside.

Nezha landed in the Lotus Flower, as if he had returned home. Feeling lazy and languid, he couldn't help but hug the Lotus Heart and fall asleep.

The Lotus Flower transformed back into a precious crown and landed back on the Taoist Baoshan.

Taoist Baoshan captured Heavenly King Li, the Giant Spirit God, and the Heavenly Horse, chaining them to the cave. He laughed and said, "Nephew, how is it?"

Alu exclaimed, "Uncle-Master, you've caused a huge disaster!"

Taoist Baoshan laughed and said, "What's there to be afraid of? Come with me to the Eastern Land, where we'll live in seclusion in a Blessed Land Cave Heaven. You'll be carefree and no one will be able to find you!"

Alu said, "If we leave, the people here will suffer!"

Taoist Baoshan laughed and said, "What does it matter to you whether they suffer or not? On a grand scale, they are spirits born of Heaven and Earth; on a smaller scale, they are beings under the Buddha's rule. You are not even an Arhat, so why should you concern yourself with such matters?"

Alu opened his mouth, unable to refute, and could only say:

"Uncle-Master, I really can't turn a blind eye!"

Taoist Baoshan laughed and said, "That's why you can't become Arhat."

At this moment, the Water Virtue Star Lord rushed over and, seeing Heavenly King Li and the others locked up, exclaimed, "Alu, you've dragged me down with you!"
