Among the clouds.
Ove cast a Levitation Spell on Lin Ke, allowing him to stand in the air.
"Teacher, here's the idea..."
Lin Ke began explaining.
However, he did not discuss [Inventor], but [Doctor].
Compared with [Inventor], which required inventing actual objects, the [Doctor] class was somewhat simpler.
After all, alcohol, towels, and similar supplies could be used to disinfect and dress wounds. As for treatment with medicine, without modern instruments to analyze drugs, it was largely a matter of experience.
Doctors also had different specialties. Some did not need to perform surgery or make medicine; they only needed to see patients.
Inventing was different. It required understanding the properties, functions, durability, and other characteristics of materials, as well as knowing what would happen when certain materials were combined.
That involved mechanics, materials science, machinery, human anatomy, and more. Even zoology and botany were necessary.
Many of this world's animals, plants, and minerals were different from those in his previous life, so Lin Ke would have to learn about them from scratch.
For now, though, Lin Ke intended to establish classes such as [Doctor] first.
After all, his task was to create enough classes, which would also bring him more followers.
"...That's the general idea, Teacher." Lin Ke respectfully gave the elderly man before him a disciple's bow.
"Hmm... This [Doctor] you mentioned sounds a lot like [Witch Doctor], but there seems to be a fundamental difference." Ove looked thoughtful as well.
Creating a class was something everyone in Nathang had considered.
Ove himself had thought about it when he was young.
But most children and young people only came up with ideas like turning [Sword Warrior] into [Shield Warrior]. It was difficult to devise anything more original that actually worked.
At first, Ove had assumed Lin Ke was like most people, himself included, and merely intended to change the weapon and call it done.
Now, however, Ove began seriously considering the feasibility of the class Lin Ke had proposed.
He knew about the [Witch Doctor] class. They generally treated people using healing spells that stimulated vitality, or with healing skills.
Besides treating people, [Witch Doctors] also used voodoo, making them a support class capable of both attacking and healing.
Apart from [Witch Doctors], some followers of the gods took the [Priest] class, which also had decent healing abilities.
But the [Doctor] Lin Ke proposed was completely different from either of those.
"Little Lin Ke, do you mean... even ordinary people could become doctors? Like carpenters and stonemasons?"
After considering it for a while, Ove's expression grew somewhat serious.
"Yes, Teacher. In fact, many hunters and farmers already possess certain [Doctor] traits. They know some basic methods of herbal treatment."
Lin Ke pointed at the servants below. "Many people don't go to a [Witch Doctor] when they're injured, because they can't afford the fees. Older people treat their minor injuries and illnesses."
"Perhaps it could work..."
Lin Ke had inspired Ove as well. The Azan Territory lay in the most remote part of the Gula Kingdom, and there were few Professionals there to begin with.
So when people suffered minor illnesses or injuries, it seemed they really did receive treatment that way.
"How about this... Let's go back and discuss it."
Whenever matters of inquiry and learning came up, Ove grew excited. Otherwise, he would never have shut himself away in his own plane to pursue his research for so long.
"Wait, Teacher."
Lin Ke did not know whether to laugh or cry. "The work down there isn't finished yet!" He pointed at the platform that had just been erected below.
The servants had finished the platform, and Steward Billy was now directing them in building structures to provide shelter from rain, sun, and wind.
"Speaking of that... Little Lin Ke, what is this thing you're building? A training ground for warriors?"
Ove was very curious. Lin Ke had specifically skipped studying today to come here and build something called a "stage."
He had brought Lin Ke up to ask about that very thing.
"This might give rise to quite a few classes in the future."
Lin Ke smiled mysteriously. "Teacher, you'll find out tonight."
At that, Ove looked as curious as a child. "All right. I'll be waiting."
The sight left Lin Ke feeling rather moved.
Every time he looked into his teacher's eyes, their purity and sincerity made him feel ashamed of himself.
Only someone like that could take the mysterious [Truth Researcher] class and shut himself away in his Personal Plane to explore and research for decades, even centuries.
That afternoon, Lin Ke gathered the maids in front of the castle and had them make strange "ah, ah, ah" noises. He even picked out some male servants who were handsome or had distinctive features.
Rumor had it that Lin Ke was choosing "personal" servants-not the kind John was, but another kind.
Cleaning maids, laundry maids, dining room maids, kitchen maids...
Lin Ke inspected every kind of maid, one after another, and selected nearly thirty of them.
He chose slightly fewer male servants, only thirteen, but picked quite a few guards-more than forty.
Even the first lady, Antova, had some complaints. Between building a platform and making people shout, Lin Ke was disrupting the castle's normal operations and wasting money.
Of course, the castle's normal operations meant keeping the two ladies and Lin Ke happy and comfortable.
But now, for the sake of making money and completing his task, Lin Ke could not worry about whether things ran normally.
He needed to earn money quickly, create new classes, repay his debts, and acquire followers with strong bloodline talents who would never betray him.
"Sing a few notes. Copy me."
Looking at the maids before him, Lin Ke began with "do, re, mi, fa, sol," leaving them staring blankly.
"Do, ru, mi, fa, so..." The maids were tone-deaf. Their voices were sheer torture to his ears.
This won't do.
Lin Ke felt he had a long, difficult road ahead if he wanted to teach them to sing.
Several hours later.
"...Come on, your voices need to go higher here! Ready... begin!"
In front of a small grove, Lin Ke held a twig and waved it at the thirty guards standing in neat rows before him.
Under Lin Ke's instruction, the thirty guards had practiced standing at attention, and now they held their positions properly.
As soon as Lin Ke began waving the twig vigorously, the guards started roaring, "...The wind howls, the cattle bellow! Glory to Azan! Glory to Azan!"
Their voices were not only out of sync, but carried a strange tune.
Lin Ke could not help rubbing the space between his brows.
Songs were rare here. At most, there were the uneven recitations of bards or the chants of certain gods' followers.
Monotonous, repetitive, strange cries.
Perhaps some people hummed random tunes, but no musical system had developed.
"Let's do this. Listen to me sing it again, then keep practicing here."
Lin Ke cleared his throat and began singing the "Azan Grand Chorus" unaccompanied.
When he finished, amazement shone in the guards' eyes.
The young master's voice-or rather, what he called "singing"-always seemed to set their blood pumping.
And Lin Ke, who had once dominated the karaoke microphone, knew plenty of songs.
Leaving them to continue practicing, he went over to another group nearby.
The theater group.
