Liu Feng cast a disdainful glance at Kushina's figure.

"Go die."

Humiliated and furious at being looked down on, Kushina threw her tiny fists at Liu Feng.

"Liu Feng, is Kushina really in danger?"

Hearing Liu Feng say that Kushina was in danger, Mikoto hurriedly asked. Although Kushina was five years younger than her, they had become very close, so Mikoto naturally did not want Kushina to come to harm.

Liu Feng had been following Kushina from the shadows, afraid that showing himself would make whoever intended to capture her too wary to act.

"The system shouldn't be wrong. The time limit is seven days. There was no movement during the first six, so something should happen today."

Standing atop a tree, Liu Feng calmly looked toward the Ninja Academy, where Kushina was.

After the Uzumaki clan joined Konoha, many of their children had entered the Ninja Academy to study.

"Xiao Meng, what happens to the mission if no one comes to capture Kushina today?" Liu Feng suddenly asked Xiao Meng.

Even without entering the System Space, he could still communicate with Xiao Meng.

"Then the mission is completed, of course. This mission is simply to ensure that Kushina Uzumaki is not captured within seven days."

"So that's how it is. Then I hope this day passes peacefully. That would save me the trouble."

The Three Tomoe Sharingan activated, and Liu Feng instantly swept his gaze across the surroundings, taking in everything around him.

"They're here."

Liu Feng's gaze instantly locked onto two figures that had suddenly appeared. Wearing Kumogakure forehead protectors, they rushed toward Kushina.

"Let's see what you're capable of first."

Four small shuriken flew from Liu Feng's hand, each tied to a thin steel wire that was difficult to spot.

As the shuriken flew, Liu Feng flicked his wrist and controlled them through the wires. All four shuriken simultaneously shot toward the vital points of the ninja reaching for Kushina.

Pfft! Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!

The four shuriken instantly took that ninja's life.

"They weren't that weak, were they?"

Liu Feng was somewhat surprised. He had thought the enemy would be able to dodge.

"But to capture a five-year-old Ninja Academy student, they really wouldn't need to send anyone too strong."

In an instant, Liu Feng's palm pierced through the other ninja's chest.

"Whew, it's over." Looking thoroughly frightened, Kushina hurried to Liu Feng's side and hugged him tightly.

"You're trembling like a little quail."

Liu Feng lowered his head and teased her.

"I-I'm not scared." Kushina stubbornly insisted, yet she still refused to let go of Liu Feng.

She was only a child. Even if she had mentally prepared herself in advance, there was no way she would not be afraid in a situation like this.

"Hold on tight. This isn't over yet," Liu Feng whispered into Kushina's ear.

As for why Liu Feng was certain it was not over, the mission had not been completed yet, which meant there were still enemies.

"Come out. Hiding like a rat is boring," Liu Feng said blandly.

Kushina, who was hugging Liu Feng, raised her head and looked at his face so close to hers. Her little face reddened slightly. This bad guy is actually pretty handsome.

Pah, pah, pah. So what if he's handsome? All he does is bully me. Hmph, big bad guy.

Liu Feng had no idea what Kushina was thinking. The enemy seemingly hidden in the shadows still had not revealed himself.

"Oh, you won't come out? Fine, then I'm leaving. If you miss this chance, you won't get another."

After saying that, Liu Feng turned to leave. The instant he turned around, killing intent erupted.

A blade slashed toward Liu Feng's back, the attacker showing no mercy whatsoever.

The enemy's attack was fast, but how could Liu Feng, who had long been prepared, possibly be caught by it?

Using the Body Flicker Technique to evade the blade, Liu Feng landed atop a tree some distance away, with Kushina still clinging tightly to him.

"You finally couldn't hold back."

Liu Feng looked at his opponent. The man was tall and wore a mask that concealed his face, along with a Kumogakure forehead protector.
