Ji Yuntian smiled faintly at them, then covered his lips with his fist and coughed twice, continuing to play the sickly Lin Daiyu for Jiang Xun. "Could you peel an apple for me?"
Jiang Xun smiled faintly back. "Sure."
He took an apple and a fruit knife from the fruit platter, pulled up a chair beside the bed, and began peeling it.
After a while, Jiang Xun suddenly said with feeling, "That night... I really never expected you to go that far for me. I was actually quite touched."
"Xunxun..." Ji Yuntian gazed tenderly at him. "As long as you're safe, I wouldn't mind even if it cost me my life."
