Background
Previous life
Jiang Xun originally came from a wealthy family and was a university senior preparing to graduate. After repeatedly revising his thesis and passing his defense, he celebrated by gaming all night and suffered sudden cardiac death. The Plot Collapse System subsequently bound itself to him and sent him into the harem novel What to Do When the Whole World Loves Me So Much 3 4.
Although uninterested in academics or business, he was exceptionally gifted in music. He specialized in piano and violin, won numerous awards, and held a solo piano recital at nine. His parents pushed him to compete; his own preference was a comfortable life with as little work as possible 15.
The original Jiang Xun
The body’s original owner was the Jiang family’s youngest biological son. A nanny switched him at birth with her own son, Jiang Zixing, then took him to a remote town. After the nanny had another child, Jiang Xun endured years of beatings, forced chores, and inadequate food. His adoptive father damaged his left ear and burned the area above his left eye with a fire poker 3 4.
The switch was exposed when the terminally ill nanny sought out Jiang Zixing. Reunited with his biological family, the original Jiang Xun found that Zixing remained their cherished son. His insecurity and resentment developed into hostility toward Zixing, while his family increasingly regarded him as malicious. Their belief that he had pushed Zixing down the stairs was later disproved: Zixing had fallen by himself 3 21.
Jiang Xun inherits the original owner’s memories but is a separate person. He consciously takes the abused boy’s side and resolves to live in his place. The family does not know that the original owner is already gone 4 43.
Appearance
Jiang Xun has delicate features resembling his mother’s, a slender build, and expressive, round eyes. His appearance changes substantially after he replaces the original owner’s styling and begins regular skincare 4 11 28 66.
- Initial appearance: Deep wheat-brown skin, a very thin frame, overlong bangs, and poorly coordinated designer clothing 4.
- Facial scar: Approximately three centimeters long, above the corner of his left eye; initially concealed by his bangs 4.
- Hands: Long, slender fingers, with rough skin and small scars left by the original owner’s years of labor 15 43.
- Later appearance: Short, styled black hair, fairer and smoother skin, and a composed bearing suited to formal gatherings and performances 66 82.
- At twenty-one: More refined features but little change in height, retaining a youthful appearance 157.
- During treatment: Becomes increasingly pale and thin, loses his hair during chemotherapy, and later begins growing it back 165 168.
Personality
Jiang Xun is irreverent, sharp-tongued, and unwilling to accept mistreatment quietly. Unlike the original owner, he responds to insults with sarcasm and retaliation rather than withdrawing into insecurity. He holds grudges, openly challenges his family’s favoritism, and can switch convincingly between apparent meekness and outright provocation 1 4 18 24.
Despite his talent, he enthusiastically embraces laziness. He rejects Jiang Huaijin’s offer to establish a company for him and sees little appeal in working simply to outshine Jiang Zixing. His polished public image as a courteous musical prodigy contrasts with his mischievous, spoiled behavior in private 105 106 117 157.
His scheming coexists with genuine affection. He grows protective of Lin Jian, cares for dogs, worries about Fu Yanli’s comfort, and comforts his family after his leukemia diagnosis. He is also sensitive to pain and to changes in his appearance, becoming distressed during postoperative recovery and chemotherapy-related hair loss 14 29 86 122 163 165.
- Fears: Snakes, centipedes, and similar crawling creatures; his fear of snakes stems from a childhood bite 8.
- Preferences: Sweets, spicy food, hotpot, and stinky tofu 21 42 127 144.
- Alcohol tolerance: Enjoys tasting and collecting liquor, but his inherited body becomes drunk even on low-alcohol fruit wine or a single glass of stronger liquor 14 91.
- Romantic boundaries: Initially resists Fu Yanli because he believes him to be married and refuses to become a homewrecker 71 78.
Abilities & Skills
Musical Talent
Jiang Xun retains the musical training and ability of his previous life 15.

- Plays Canon from memory while drunk, increasing the tempo to one-and-a-half and then twice its usual speed 48.
- Initially conceals his ability because it conflicts with the original owner’s impoverished upbringing; he later deliberately plays badly in front of Jiang Zixing 15 49 105.
- Transfers to A University’s Music Department, studies under Guan Nan, and wins major piano competitions 157.
Social Performance and Manipulation

Plot Collapse System
Jiang Xun communicates mentally with the system assistant Six-Six-Six. Its missions, points, and shop provide tools for disrupting the novel’s plot 3 33 71.
| Function | Documented use or limitation |
|---|---|
| Main mission | Prevent Lin Jian’s romances with Chu Xingye, Ji Yuntian, and Bai Lian from developing; reaching 100% plot collapse earns a resurrection reward 3 4 161. |

| Mission points | Receives 2,000 points after Jiang Huaijin discovers the diary 54. |

| Relationship interference | Receives a mission to let Chu Xingye catch him kissing Fu Yanli while wearing Fu Yanli’s shirt and claiming they are having an affair 133. |
Improvised Self-Defense
Jiang Xun relies on surprise and available objects rather than documented formal combat training 1 152.
- Drives off Zhou Ruicheng and his lackeys with a mop soaked in toilet water 1.
- During the kidnapping, bites Ji Ming’s arm, frees himself, and takes Ji Ming hostage at knifepoint 152.
- Recognizes his physical limits: despite his anger at Fu Yanli, he admits he cannot beat him in a fight 97.
