Shelly's voice was syrupy sweet, with a hint of seduction. Anyone without sufficient willpower could have been drawn into erotic fantasies by her voice alone, unable to pull free.
"A divine beast, a Blood Serpent, cultivating the Destruction Edict..." Roger looked at Shelly. "Do you remember exactly how old you are?"
"Probably just under three hundred thousand years." Shelly thought back over her past before finally recalling the number.
Life in the Netherworld was simply too dull. Aside from cultivating, Shelly usually spent her time traveling.
Time seemed not to exist for her.
"Three hundred thousand years, and you're still only an ordinary Highgod?" Mia could not resist sneering.
She had become a Highgod in less than a thousand years.
By comparison, she was practically a genius...
"Hmph, cultivating quickly doesn't mean you're strong. If you hadn't gotten lucky earlier, I would have smashed your head apart!" Shelly shot back bluntly.
"Master told me to spare your life. Otherwise, my innate divine ability would have killed you already," Mia said disdainfully.
"Hmph, hmph~" Shelly clearly did not believe her.
"All right, stop arguing. Mia's innate divine ability really is powerful. It should be able to pierce your soul defense, Shelly, so you'd better avoid provoking her from now on."
Roger spoke with a headache.
"Mmm~ I'll listen to you, Master."
After squirming in Roger's arms for a while, Shelly finally answered sweetly.
Having learned about Shelly's race and strength, Roger released the two women. "Shelly, what made you build a castle here and gather so many subordinates?"
"I traveled here several thousand years ago and found this castle already standing here. I rather liked its style, so I killed its owner and took it over. I planned to cultivate here for a while before continuing my travels."
"As for those subordinates, they came here over the years, and I subdued them. So I could cultivate in peace, I had them gather the nearby Midgods and organize them into a guard force to protect this place."
"So that's how it happened." Roger nodded slightly. "Come on, show me your castle."
He patted Shelly's full, pert bottom, signaling for her to lead the way.
"As you command, Master~"
Shelly swayed her hips as she walked toward the castle.
"Master, after taking this place over, I named it Bloodstone Castle and made some changes to the original layout according to my own tastes. Look, Master, this is the secluded chamber where I usually cultivate."
Arriving before a blood-red door, Shelly pushed the stone door open, revealing a spacious hall beyond.
A huge stone bed stood inside, covered with snowy-white, fluffy quilts.
On the other side of the hall were a table and stools, while a shelf against the wall held some Godheads, divine artifacts, and other objects.
"Master, those are all my trophies. I killed some disobedient Highgods and a few divine beasts, then used their things as decorations."
Shelly pointed at the objects on the shelf as she spoke.
"Mmm, it looks pretty good."
After looking around, Roger nodded slightly. "That fight earlier was tiring. We might as well rest for a while."
With that said...
Roger had Mia and Shelly lie on the bed, then climbed on top of them...
(Ten thousand words omitted here...)
A night of flushed, dizzying passion passed.
Through their repeated bouts, Mia initially still disliked Shelly.
But after Shelly took a large share of the onslaught, Mia gradually found her much more agreeable.
By the end, the two were even calling each other sisters as they weathered Roger's stormy assault together.
An unknown amount of time passed.
Only when Roger felt satisfied did he finally let the two women off.
It had to be said...
Although it was Shelly's first time, many things came naturally to her without any instruction, much to Roger's enjoyment.
"Master, why did you and little sister Mia travel so far to come here?"
Shelly asked languidly as she lay in Roger's arms.
Despite having lived so long, she had not traveled as far as Roger and Mia had.
"No particular reason. I just wanted to get out, see more of the world, broaden my horizons, and hone myself along the way."
Stroking Shelly's warm, silky-white skin, Roger looked utterly content.
He had discovered that balancing work and relaxation actually made his cultivation more efficient.
So when the mood struck, he no longer suppressed it.
"Oh~" Shelly answered softly. "Then I want to travel with you both from now on, Master. I want to get stronger too, or I won't be able to help you in the future."
"Haha, no problem. One more person means one more companion."
Even if Shelly had not asked, Roger would have brought her along.
Over the next several days...
Roger, Shelly, and Mia enjoyed another thorough, in-depth exchange before finally leaving the secluded chamber.
"Shelly, leave two subordinates here to watch the place. We'll keep moving."
"Yes, Master~"
Shelly summoned the few Midgod subordinates who had survived earlier. After giving them instructions, she followed Roger and Mia as they flew south.
Several years later...
The three arrived deep within the Undead Realm.
Sure enough...
Nearly all the creatures here were skeletal beings below the Sanctuary level.
"Master, there are hardly any deities or Sanctuary-level beings here. They're all weak creatures. What are we doing here?" Shelly asked in confusion.
"Don't ask so many questions. Just follow me." As he flew at high speed, Roger was searching with his divine sense.
"All right..."
Hearing that, Shelly asked no more questions and joined him in looking down below.
Mia remained as quiet as ever, never asking Roger why.
This also reflected the difference in their personalities.
Despite her age, Shelly had the personality of a deeply curious child.
Though Mia was young, she was much more composed.
With the two women around, Roger felt that life was no longer so dull.
Several days later...
"There's a Lowgod over there. Come on, let's take a look."
His divine power surged, and Roger shot into the distance as a streak of gray light.
Boom!
Arriving above the Lowgod, Roger narrowed his eyes, and a gray blade shadow plunged into the target's body.
The powerful Soul Attack effortlessly invaded the Lowgod's soul ocean, then began searching his soul.
A moment later...
With his soul torn apart by the brutal soul search, the Lowgod fell to the ground, all signs of life gone.
"What a shame. He wasn't reincarnated from a material plane." Roger felt a little disappointed. The Lowgod he had spent several days finding had turned out to be a native undead who had attained godhood. The information in his head was almost useless to Roger.
"Keep going!"
Roger refused to give up.
Over the next several years, he traveled far and wide with Shelly and Mia, seeking Lowgods whose souls he could search.
At last...
After searching the souls of more than a hundred Lowgods...
Roger had gathered a vast amount of information.
Atop a mountain peak...
Roger sat cross-legged on a huge boulder.
Shelly and Mia quietly stood guard nearby.
"Of the hundred-odd Lowgods whose souls I searched, about half came from material planes. But across all those memories, there were actually so few divine beasts born in the current material planes..."
"And no teleportation arrays have appeared in the material planes either..."
After comparing the memories of those dozens of Lowgods from their time in the material planes...
Roger surmised...
The life forms being born in the material planes at present were mostly humans, ordinary magical beasts, and the like.
As for divine beasts...
Roger had found no records of them at all in those memories...
