First of all, happy New Year, everyone!
I just finished writing today's updates, which was pretty early for me. Lately, I've basically been opening my eyes a little after ten in the morning, drinking a strong coffee, and going to bed at eleven at night, spending the entire day thinking about the plot and updates.
It's exhausting, but I've actually been enjoying it.
Updating six or seven thousand characters a day might be nothing to other people, but it's still too much for me, and I haven't quite adjusted. I remember I used to write four thousand a day and take three days off a month. I don't know how things ended up like this-
Actually, thinking back carefully, a big part of why I used to take so much time off was that I didn't have a backlog. Every day, I'd struggle until update time, and if I really couldn't get anything written, I'd have no choice but to take the day off.
The update situation for this book has been pretty healthy. I used to consistently have three days' worth of chapters saved up, so if I couldn't write one day, it was fine to just work a little later.
I got carried away a couple of times over the past few days and posted two extra chapters.
