Background / History

Tang San was a member of the Shrek Seven Devils and was deeply attached to Xiao Wu. When she disappeared, he became frantic to find her, eventually suspecting that she had gone after Xue Tianyu over their earlier conflict. Xue Tianyu's provocations regarding Xiao Wu nearly caused Tang San to lose control, though Dai Mubai restrained him from initiating an illegal private fight. 19 20 21

Tang Hao secretly watched over Tang San and intervened when Tang San appealed for help rescuing Xiao Wu. Tang San later trained in Slaughter City under his father's protection, becoming accustomed to killing and developing a powerful murderous aura. Ah Yin's hundred-thousand-year Soul Bone significantly enhanced him during this period. 38 88

The Asura God protected Tang San from the Slaughter King and restored Tang Chen's consciousness, revealing Tang Chen as Tang San's great-grandfather. Tang San immediately asked Tang Chen to help rescue Xiao Wu, viewing Xue Tianyu as an irreconcilable enemy. After that rescue failed and even the Asura God's phantom was defeated, Tang San's resentment and determination to surpass Xue Tianyu intensified. 116 195 196

Personality

Early on, Tang San tries to restrain himself for his team's sake, but Xiao Wu's perceived betrayal or danger readily drives him into rage and panic. His failures against Xue Tianyu repeatedly leave him jealous of Xue Tianyu's power and determined to gain enough strength to take revenge. 21 195 196

His growing power makes him increasingly arrogant. He publicly challenges the entire Clear Sky Sect, dismisses Sea Dragon Douluo after passing the Sea God's second trial, and repeatedly assumes that greater strength entitles him to command others. 202 309

Tang San consistently prioritizes power, divine inheritance, and the Tang family's continuation over Xiao Wu's wishes. When given a condition to secure Xiao Wu's release, he refuses to castrate himself and instead says he must first leave an heir for the Tang family; he later considers taking Xiao Wu's Soul Ring so that he can revive her after becoming a god. 219 222
