Background / History

Haimo is a transmigrator whose arrival made him an ancient conceptual god. His divine origin is tied not to a particular mythology, but to intelligent life’s use of tools, weapons, and organized conflict. His divinity encompasses the course of strife from its beginnings through destruction; the continued existence of violence sustains his divine flame 1 2.

In Heaven, his titles and reputation made other gods wary of him. Nevertheless, he became close to goddesses such as Hestia and Hephaestus. Goddesses seeking refuge from unwanted suitors could shelter in his temple, relying on his name to discourage pursuit. Following an unspecified great incident that left Heaven empty and silent for ten thousand years, he spent more than ten thousand years alone on his throne 2 222.

His standing in Heaven did not translate into recognition in Orario. At the beginning of his recruitment efforts, he occupied a dilapidated two-story building and had no followers. His early divine panel listed his Familia at rank I with only 150 valis. Leila’s questions exposed the practical weaknesses behind his promises of limitless potential: no members, no meaningful starting capital, and no reputation 1 2 3.

Haimo has black hair, black eyes, and exceptionally handsome features that attract attention even when he restrains his divine presence 1 264.

Personality

Haimo combines a relaxed, teasing manner with a persistent appetite for conflict. Watching his children develop genuinely pleases him, but he also seeks opportunities to fight personally. When he discovers a skilled observer following him, his reaction resembles a hunter finding an exciting quarry 62 64.

As a patron god, he is attentive and protective without demanding that his children surrender their ambitions. He notices their desire for better weapons, encourages careful development rather than rushed leveling, and refuses Loki’s offer of Lefiya because he wants to concentrate on the children already entrusted to him. He also insists that Kohina must not threaten her companions 19 21 104 247.

His sympathy does not make him conventionally heroic. He is drawn to fierce personal convictions, admiring Aya’s determination to challenge a god and Kisara’s obsessive pursuit of revenge. He openly finds Kisara’s uncompromising fixation more interesting than declarations of universal justice. At the same time, he despises the persecution of the Cursed Children and seeks to give his recruits lives beyond their former suffering 147 202 210 264.

He is also a calculating negotiator. Loki recognizes his talent for winning people over while securing advantages, and his dealings with Ouranos make his tolerance conditional: he enjoys Orario, but will not accept the Guild obstructing him 116 160 165.
