They asked every ferry at the port and got much the same answer.
Blanc had no choice but to stop and think about what to do next.
The only boat willing to go to Galuna Island-the one belonging to the village chief's son-had presumably already left with Natsu aboard. None of the remaining boats would go, no matter what.
Surely he couldn't follow Erza's example and commandeer one.
"What now? Not a single boat will take us to Galuna Island." Gray looked out at the raging sea, equally stumped.
"If nobody will take us, we'll just fly there." Blanc waved a hand.
"Fly? I can't do that!"
Blanc wasted no words. He simply pressed his hands together. "Wood Release: Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
Thick logs twisted and intertwined, forming a majestic Western dragon over ten meters long out of thin air. Unfortunately, its green body didn't quite match its name.
So Blanc took out another card. "Color-Changing Magic!"
The dragon's entire body immediately turned a brilliant platinum white, radiating majesty.
Blanc nodded.
"We'll ride on its back and fly over."
"Your molding magic really is convenient."
Gray looked at Blanc with admiration, then the corner of his mouth twitched.
"But going out of your way to color it with magic... do you really need that much ceremony?"
The two jumped onto the dragon's back one after the other and steadied themselves. Then the dragon shot into the air, becoming a streak of platinum light as it flew toward the sea.
Wind howled past their ears, and Hargeon Port below soon vanished from sight.
After flying high above the sea for a while, Blanc looked at the endless blue water around them and suddenly froze. An extremely crucial question had just occurred to him.
"Hey, Gray."
"What?" Gray shouted over the wind.
