Looking up at the blue sky and white clouds, Xi Feng nodded in satisfaction and left.
Heavenly Descent was one of Hyōrinmaru's abilities, and its most powerful. It was said to command everything in the sky. Xi Feng had just used it to clear the weather.
Chapter 53: Mira Versus Gajeel (Please enable automatic subscriptions)
Inside Phantom Lord's Magic Giant...
"Natsu, do we really have to go find Jose?" Happy asked worriedly as he watched Natsu run on.
"Yeah." Natsu nodded without the slightest trace of fear.
"But he's one of the Ten Wizard Saints! Just leave him to Xi Feng." Happy was still very worried.
"It'll be fine. I'm strong too, so don't worry!"
"All right..."
"How tragic..."
Just then, they heard a man weeping. A moment later, Aria appeared before Natsu and Happy, wearing a coat and a blindfold.
"The flame's wings are rotting away... ah... leaving only a dragon's bones..."
"Huh?" Aria's words left Natsu utterly bewildered.
"Natsu, he's one of the Element 4," Happy whispered beside him.
"My name is Aria, strongest of the Element 4! Let the dragon hunt begin!"
"It should be safe here."
After reaching a house on the outskirts, Mira checked the surroundings, tidied up a little, and settled Lucy inside.
"So this is where you little rats were hiding!"
But just as they relaxed, Mira and the others heard a man's arrogant voice.
"Who's there?!" Mira and Reedus looked around warily.
"Where are you looking? The great Gajeel's right up here."
Following his voice, Mira and Reedus looked up to find Gajeel standing alone on a roof beam, his arms folded across his chest.
"Mira! Hurry and take Lucy away. I'll hold him off!" Reedus stepped straight in front of Mira, showing his courage.
"Reedus..." Looking at his back, Mira felt a painful ache in her heart. In the end, she hoisted Lucy onto her back and ran outside.
Boom!
But just as Mira made it outside, the wall beside her shattered. Reedus crashed through it, covered in wounds, and slammed into a tree.
"Reedus!" Mira cried out at the sight of him flying through the air, then hurried over to check his injuries.
"Well, well. How useless. Is this all Fairy Tail amounts to?" Gajeel emerged as well, mocking Mira as he walked toward her.
"You..." Hearing his words, Mira turned to glare at him furiously.
"That's right. Keep looking at me like that. Because glaring is all you can do. You can't do a damn thing! Hahaha!" Gajeel kept taunting her before bursting into laughter.
"All I ever wanted was a peaceful life with Xi Feng, Elfman, Lisanna, and my family in the guild..." Mira set Lucy down beside Reedus, then slowly stood. Her voice was icy. "After that mission, I didn't want to use my magic anymore. I was afraid my own arrogance would cost me my loved ones. But you people from Phantom Lord have truly made me angry!"
As she finished, an immense surge of magic erupted from her body, enveloping her in black magical power.
"Full-body Take Over: Satan Soul!"
When the magic dispersed, Mira's appearance had completely changed. Though her outfit was somewhat revealing, the magical power radiating from her left Gajeel stunned.
"What the hell is going on?!"
Gajeel stared in shock at Mira's Satan Soul form. Her magic had been so weak just moments ago, yet now it was incredibly powerful.
"Darkness Claw!" Without another word, Mira appeared before Gajeel in her Satan Soul form and swung her right hand.
"!!!"
Gajeel's eyes widened at the sudden attack, but he reacted instantly, raising both arms to shield himself and reducing much of the damage.
What kind of speed and strength is that?! Looking at the wounds on his chest, Gajeel was horrified. He had never imagined Fairy Tail had another woman who could rival Erza.
"Super Cruelty Rampage!"
"What?!"
While Gajeel was still reeling inwardly, Mira's icy voice sounded behind him. He turned to see an enormous mass of magical power gathering between her hands. A dark vortex swept toward him and engulfed him completely.
"Aaagh!"
Gajeel screamed in agony within the dark vortex. Finally, an explosion blasted him away and sent him crashing into a tree.
"Hiss..." Clutching his chest, Gajeel sucked in a sharp breath. His entire body throbbed with pain.
With a rush of air, Mira flew over and stared coldly at Gajeel. "I won't kill you, but get out of here now. If you ever hurt Fairy Tail again, I won't let you off!"
"..." Gajeel fell silent. He knew he had lost. Against the woman before him, he had no chance to fight back. Finally, he staggered to his feet and slowly left.
Once Gajeel was gone, Mira released Satan Soul and hurried back to Reedus and Lucy to tend to them.
Although Mira had defeated Gajeel with ease, things were not going nearly as smoothly for Natsu. After all, he was facing Aria, the strongest of the Element 4.
"Hah... hah... hah..." Natsu panted heavily, his whole body covered in injuries.
"You can still stand before me. Impressive," Aria said calmly as he looked at Natsu.
"Damn you! Quit acting so fucking smug! Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" Flames blazed around Natsu's right hand once more as he charged at Aria.
"You refuse to learn. You cannot defeat me before my Airspace magic." Watching Natsu charge, Aria extended a hand and sent him flying before he could get close.
But Natsu did not give up. After rolling across the ground several times, he stood again, surprising Aria.
"You can still get up?! Not bad, Fire Dragon."
"How could I possibly go down here?! I'm a Mage of Fairy Tail..." Natsu's face was dark at first, then he roared.
"I'm all fired up, you bastard!"
"Airspace: Zetsu." Aria spoke the words calmly. A series of sharp impacts erupted across Natsu's body, wracking him with pain.
"Damn it!" Getting up once again, Natsu glared viciously at Aria.
"Naive dragon. There is always someone stronger than you."
"Quit spouting that useless crap! Fire Dragon's Roar!" A torrent of flame erupted from Natsu's mouth and surged toward Aria.
Whoosh...
But just as the flames reached him, Aria vanished, leaving only an afterimage.
"Where is he? Where did he go?"
Natsu looked left and right for the vanished Aria, but there was no sign of him. Only his voice reached Natsu's ears.
"It's over! Taste the same suffering as Makarov!"
Aria appeared behind Natsu and unleashed his magic on him.
"Airspace: Metsu! Your magical power will be reduced to zero!"

"Oh no!"
Aria's sudden appearance made Natsu pale with alarm. Moments later, pain and weakness coursed through his body.
"Natsu!"
Seeing Natsu in such agony, Happy was desperately worried, but he could do nothing except cry out from the sidelines.
Smack!
Just then, a foot slammed into Aria's face and sent him flying, freeing Natsu in the process.
"Xi Feng!"
Happy cried out in delight at the newcomer.
"Xi Feng, what are you doing here?" Natsu asked, puzzled as he looked at him.
"I should have finished you off back then." Xi Feng did not answer Natsu. He merely fixed Aria with a piercing stare.
"Fairy Tail's God of War? Heh. Looks like I'll have to go all out." Seeing Xi Feng arrive, Aria removed the cloth covering his eyes.
"Come, Xi Feng!"
Aria opened his keen eyes and looked at Xi Feng, speaking with utter confidence.
"Death Airspace: Metsu, activate!" Once I cast this magic, everyone within its range will have their lives taken."
After Death Airspace: Metsu activated, Natsu and Happy felt terrible discomfort coursing through their bodies, until they finally cried out in pain.
