Neji's voice came from the rooftop.

Kakashi stepped out from behind the stone pillar, his Forehead Protector already raised, his left eye fixed on that patch of distorted air.
"You're back."
The Masked Man ignored Kakashi, his gaze settling on Danzo.
The hope of survival had barely surfaced on Danzo's face before Sasuke's voice crushed it.
"Keep talking."
Sasuke emerged from the other side of the Square, followed by Fugaku, Inoichi Yamanaka, and two squads of Konoha Military Police Force ninja.
He raised a hand to straighten his collar, looking only at Danzo, not the Masked Man.
"Tell us the whole secret you want to make up, in front of the Recording Formation Plate."
Yamada Naoto immediately pushed the Image Recording Array Disc closer, its mirrored surface facing Danzo and the shadows.
Danzo's face twitched as he finally understood.
This was no rescue.
This was another interrogation.
The Masked Man took a step back, and the spatial ripples contracted.

Sasuke looked at him.

Kakashi's Kamui fluctuations had already locked onto that patch of space, the Hyuga Byakugan Team covered the elevated sight lines, and the Nara shadows spread from the foot of the stone pillar.
The Masked Man did not attack.
He glanced at Danzo, his tone mocking.
"Trash only drags others down."
