While the Dwarves and Orcs fought fiercely on the slope, Herad also opened a passage through the mountains of Dun Morogh, creating a route to the side of Ironforge.
On the slope, two torrents of steel collided violently amid the ceaseless roar of guns and cannons.
The Dwarf warriors and Orcs Infantry were all tin cans armed to the teeth.
But the Dwarves had muskets and artillery, giving them an overwhelming advantage in ranged attacks.
Unlike advanced artillery that pursued accuracy and range, the Dwarves' cannons were bulky, heavy weapons with short barrels.
The main cannon mounted on the Steam Tank had a bore so enormous that a person could crawl inside!
Although its range was rather shitty, its power was astonishing.
One shot blasted out a pond-sized crater, and the Orcs Infantry on the battlefield did not dare bunch up.
Even armed to the teeth, they could still be killed outright by the shock of a shell exploding nearby.
The power of shells this enormous was beyond comparison with ordinary shells.
Even a tank would be shaken apart by the shock wave if it was too close to the impact.
If the Orcs Infantry were packed densely enough, killing hundreds with a single shot would be no problem!
The Gryphon Riders circling overhead hurled Lightning Hammers wherever the Orcs Infantry clustered.
Every Lightning Hammer that crashed into the crowd took a dozen or even dozens of lives.
If the Orcs Infantry wanted to avoid being blasted sky-high or enjoying a full course of electrotherapy, they had to close with the Dwarves' frontline troops as quickly as possible.
Otherwise, their lives were as cheap as grass!
Watching the Orc army retreat steadily, Herad marveled at how powerful the Bronzebeard Dwarves truly were.
Even without help from the Wildhammer Dwarves' Gryphon
