Things went well at first, with the Clefthooves stupidly offering themselves up to die.
Once they realized their enemies were not to be trifled with, they immediately turned and fled frantically.
Although Clefthooves could be considered cattle, their running speed was astonishing!
They were fast, thick-skinned, and tough.
These traits made Clefthooves difficult to deal with.
That was why Orc warriors took pride in being able to hunt down an adult Clefthoof alone.
The Withered berserkers were powerful fighters.
But they were not actually true warriors.
These fellows were simply passing themselves off as warriors on the strength of their muscles.
Having never mastered the secrets of rage and being unable to use Charge, the Withered berserkers could only miserably trail behind, eating dust.
Only after exhausting the Clefthooves could they successfully kill them.
The Withered mages, on the other hand, enjoyed an easy, pleasant hunt.
A Frostbolt shot out with a whoosh, freezing a previously vigorous Clefthoof into a severe Parkinson's patient.
The meat of Clefthooves frozen by frost power was slightly worse than that of those slaughtered normally.
But only gourmets could detect that tiny difference in texture.
