The trustees arrived even sooner, taking up residence at Cassell College and waiting none too patiently for Cao Ya to arrive.

None of them could possibly go urge Cao Ya along in person, except Angers.

After all, even Angers was no match for that unknown fellow, Cao Ya.

Although some trustees wanted to curb Angers, they knew perfectly well just how powerful he was.

Before this, they would never have imagined, could never have imagined, that a human could be stronger than Angers... Was he really still human? Were they certain he was not a Dragon King in human form?

On that point, Angers gave them a definitive answer:

"Of course he's human! You can question me on other matters, but when it comes to Dragon Raja, I believe I still have some authority."

Everyone nodded. No one believed Angers would collude with a Dragon King. That was absolutely impossible.

Even more impossible than the moon crashing down!

Two days later, Cao Ya arrived at Cassell College.

Angers had asked whether he needed someone to pick him up, but Cao Ya declined. He had already sensed Cassell College's location.

He also knew what attitude Cassell College held toward an outsider like him.

"Then I'll show them my power. Everything else might be illusory, but power alone is real!"

Arriving outside Cassell College, Cao Ya surveyed the sprawling campus and its lovely scenery, then said softly:

"How beautiful."

Whoosh!

He flew into the sky, looking down over Cassell College with every corner laid bare before his eyes.

Including everyone moving about.

Cao Ya suddenly smiled.

Rumble~~~~~

Endless golden light burst forth!

As though the sun had exploded, dazzling golden radiance shone over Cassell College. Everyone froze, instinctively closing their eyes as boundless shock shook their hearts.

Who was that?

Cao Ya?!

"My name is Cao Ya. You should already know my name. I'm your new principal, and to dispel your doubts, I've deliberately shown you a little of my power."

Cao Ya said evenly:

"My attitude toward Dragon Raja differs somewhat from Cassell College's past stance. You'll learn about that in the future."

Hovering in the sky, he surveyed Cassell College once, withdrew his golden light, and finally descended.

Cassell College fell silent. Everyone was gripped by shock.

That had to be a Dragon King, right?!

Without those spoken words, they would have thought a Dragon King had arrived!

Could a human really possess that kind of power??

Even those who resented him now buried that feeling deep in their hearts.

Below the principal's office.

Seven trustees, including Angers, along with professors, department heads, Lifetime Professors, and many students, had gathered there.

They raised their heads, watching the golden speck in the sky slowly become a human figure before landing on the ground.

Everyone knew Cao Ya would come to Angers's office.

But no one had expected him to arrive like this.

Even Angers was startled. At the same time, he coveted Cao Ya's cultivation method even more. His hatred of Dragon Raja ran bone-deep.

Anything that could increase his power and help him slaughter Dragon Raja mattered immensely to him.

Chu Zihang's eternally burning golden eyes fixed on Cao Ya. He had not mistaken him; this was indeed his junior from Shilan High School.

He wondered how Cao Ya had acquired such tremendous power.

Beyond that bewilderment, another thought rose in Chu Zihang's heart: could he possess the same power?

Chu Zihang lacked power. He always had.

Because what he wanted to face was something equally powerful beyond all bounds.

Odin!

Seeing so many people, Cao Ya laughed:

"So many people. Looks like you're quite happy to welcome me."

Some people's eyes flickered.

We're not here to welcome you. We're here to challenge you. But Cao Ya's opening show of force had frightened them, and for a moment, no one stepped forward.

Cao Ya could not be bothered with people like that.

If they stayed quiet, fine. If they stepped forward, they could not blame him for showing no courtesy.

He shook hands with Angers.

"Welcome, Principal. What do you think? A fine school, isn't it?" Angers said, like a parent showing off his child proudly to an outsider. Cassell College was that child.

"It'll just about do," Cao Ya replied, offering no glowing praise.

That angered most of them.

Cassell College was the only dragon-slaying school in the world. They took pride in being its teachers, students, and staff, and could not tolerate anyone belittling it.

Had Cao Ya's earlier display not been so overwhelming, someone would already have stepped forward to refute him.

However, Beowulf, the "Dragonblood Devourer," was the first to step forward. He stared at Cao Ya, scrutinizing him from head to toe.

Then he declared with certainty:

"You're not a Mixed-Blood!"

He was extremely sensitive to the scent of dragon blood.

Cao Ya spread his hands and smiled:

"As you can see, I have no intention of hiding anything."

After a pause, he added with some disdain:

"Dragon Raja bloodline? I wouldn't take that stuff even if you gave it to me."

He did not want to change his species. Being human was perfectly fine.

He had belittled Dragon Raja and scorned their bloodline, yet this time, most people were not angry. Instead, their expressions varied, and some looked despondent.

Angers sighed and said:

"If we had a choice, who would want to become a wretch?"

Mixed-Bloods were wretches.

Seeing this, Cao Ya changed his tune:

"Still, it is a special bloodline, after all, and it does have its unique qualities. Putting it to sensible use is perfectly fine."

He truly thought little of Dragon Raja bloodlines, but Cassell College was a dragon's nest. Belittling them too much and crushing their confidence would not be good.

Seemingly drawing confidence from Cao Ya's words, Frost Gattuso of the Gatuzo family stepped forward. He was attending this gathering on behalf of his elder brother, the trustee Pompeii Gatuzo.

His face was stern, his expression grave:

"Cassell College does not belong to Angers alone. Without the trustees' approval, Cassell College will not merge with any other institution, not even Harvard, Cambridge, or the Massachusetts Institute of Technology."

Cao Ya turned his gaze toward him.

Angers introduced the key people present to him.

Cao Ya nodded and said casually:

"Trustees? You've misunderstood. I'm not here to ask your opinion. I'm merely here to notify you."

He smiled, then said gently but coldly:

"Agree, and Cassell College becomes a branch of Martial Arts University. Refuse, and Cassell College can continue to exist. I can't be bothered to interfere. It's just that anything inside this college that catches my eye will belong to me."

At those words, many people's faces filled with anger.

Cao Ya held them in far too much contempt.

What a fucking arrogant bastard!

Frost Gattuso thought so too. His expression darkened, but inwardly, he felt a surge of delighted surprise. Well now, before I could even provoke you, you went and offended everyone in Cassell College from top to bottom.

Where's your brain?

Hah. Fool.

Frost Gattuso sneered inwardly, while his face assumed an expression of righteous indignation. As though standing up against an injustice, he said:

"This is an insult to Cassell College. We will never allow it!"

Cao Ya could not be bothered to ponder all those rhetorical ploys. He said calmly:

"So, you're refusing?"

Not a ripple stirred in his eyes as he swept an indifferent gaze over everyone.
