A chill ran through everyone's hearts.
Even Angers and Beowulf were no exception.
It felt as though, if they truly refused, they would suffer an unpredictable, unimaginable, devastating blow.
In that instant, they felt from the bottom of their hearts that the young man before them was a Dragon King!
Frost Gattuso's scalp tingled. He wanted to refuse in the strongest terms, but the words reached his lips and simply would not come out.
Cao Ya suddenly frowned, looking thoughtful. Then he formed a hand seal with his left hand and extended a finger shimmering with golden light, touching Frost Gattuso's forehead as fast as lightning.
Frost Gattuso's expression instantly turned vacant, his pupils losing focus.
Angers's expression changed.
"Don't kill him!"
He could not help wanting to activate his word spirit, Time Zero. Only the thought that Cao Ya probably would not go so far as to kill someone on the spot allowed him to barely restrain himself.
If he made a move, the situation might become irretrievable.
Everyone else was terrified. Cao Ya was the first person who had dared to openly attack someone at Cassell College, and in front of so many people, at that.
Was he really not afraid?
Or did Cao Ya truly believe he could take on all of Cassell College by himself?!
Cao Ya smiled faintly.
"Relax. He'll be fine. Just don't give him any positions from now on. Let him go home and retire."
For that finger strike, Cao Ya had used an illusion technique from [Naruto], trapping Frost Gattuso in an illusion. He was alive and well; he would probably just spend the rest of his life as an idiot.
Cao Ya had not killed him outright and had even spared his life. He ought to count his blessings.
A ruined brain was better than a lost life.
The Cao Ya from [Naruto] was not particularly proficient in illusion techniques, but he was not entirely ignorant of them either, especially after becoming the Fifth Hokage and gaining access to all sorts of resources.
He had read every forbidden technique in Konoha Village. Even if he was not familiar with them, he at least had a basic understanding.
This illusion technique might not work on Angers, the Vice Principal, or Beowulf, or even formidable students like Chu Zihang and Caesar. But Frost Gattuso... heh, it was more than enough.
"What do the rest of you think? Angers, it looks like I'll have to make another move," Cao Ya said, with no shortage of menace.
He valued Cassell College's personnel, but he valued its possessions even more.
At worst, he could take everything and leave. Absorbing its personnel was not strictly necessary.
He generally would not compromise.
If doing so truly proved useful, that would be another matter.
Frost Gattuso suddenly began to laugh, grinning vacantly like an idiot, drool running from the corner of his mouth.
Everyone's hearts went cold.
Now they all understood. This new principal was nothing like Angers. His outward manner was warm, but in truth, he was utterly ruthless.
Angers invited Cao Ya into his office. The college's trustees, lifetime professors, department heads, the Vice Principal, and the others all entered in silence.
The students dispersed, each with thoughts of their own.
Members of the Gattuso Lineage took Frost Gattuso away.
In the end, Cassell College agreed to merge into Cao Ya's First Martial Arts University, which did not even exist yet, and accept him as its principal.
They had no choice but to accept. Cao Ya's martial power surpassed imagination.
A Dragon King walking among them!
In some people's eyes, Cao Ya was even more terrifying than a Dragon King!
He seemed to have no weaknesses whatsoever!
Cao Ya could not be bothered to inquire into the forces under Angers and the Vice Principal. As long as his orders were carried out without cutting corners, he would not interfere.
Finger, Chu Zihang, Caesar-he left them all to their own devices.
As for teaching martial arts, Cao Ya was not stingy. After all, he intended to take most of Cassell College's treasured collection, so offering an appropriate return was only reasonable.
He could not reveal the Indestructible Diamond Divine Art. There were still hidden figures in the world of [Dragon Raja], plotting in the shadows.
Lu Mingze, the younger brother who appeared in Lu Mingfei's spirit visions, was one of them, and a major boss at that.
He would not share his fundamental cultivation art for the time being, but the Golden Bell Shield was another matter.
Though many people complained that its name was too tacky.
But what did it matter if it sounded tacky? As long as it worked.
At that point, Cassell College's teachers and students began to acknowledge him as their principal.
Meanwhile, on Cao Ya's orders, agents from Cassell College's Execution Department went out and brought the United States bounty hunter Ronald Tang-Old Tang, Lu Mingfei's good friend from playing StarCraft-straight back to Cassell College.
When Old Tang met Cao Ya, he still looked utterly bewildered.
"Ronald Tang?" Cao Ya asked.
Old Tang jolted and answered timidly, "Ah, that's me."
He spoke in Chinese as well.
Beside them, the perpetually irreverent Vice Principal asked curiously:
"What's the point of capturing this guy? Is he a Mixed-Blood?"
He had not detected Old Tang's true identity. Why bring in some bounty hunter?
Which student at Cassell College was not a top-tier bounty hunter?
Angers had sensed something, but he was not certain either.
Of everyone present, only Cao Ya knew Old Tang's identity with certainty: Norton, the Dragon King known as the Bronze and Fire King!
In the original story, after Cassell College brought Constantine back from the Three Gorges, Lu Mingze-the one in Lu Mingfei's spirit visions-had catalyzed Constantine's awakening and sent his subordinates to attack Cassell College. Old Tang was among the bounty hunters they recruited.
During that invasion, Constantine died, and Norton fully awakened in grief and fury. The human Old Tang died for good.
How could Cao Ya possibly allow such a thing to happen?
Cassell College was his territory now.
Besides, Old Tang was human, while Norton was the Dragon King. Destroy Norton's consciousness and preserve Old Tang-that was the experiment he wanted to attempt.
If circumstances permitted, he wanted to repeat the procedure on Lu Mingfei.
As far as Cao Ya was concerned, that little devil Lu Mingze was better off dead, with all his power left to Lu Mingfei.
Lu Mingfei identified as human. Lu Mingze did not.
That alone was enough for Cao Ya to decide how to deal with them.
Dragon Kings?
Either die or get on the experimental table.
Of course, Lu Mingze was different from Norton. He was more powerful, and Cao Ya's current strength probably was not enough to deal with him.
But against a sleeping Norton, Cao Ya felt his chances were quite good.
A smile curled at Cao Ya's lips.
"No, he isn't a Mixed-Blood. He's the Bronze and Fire King-Norton."
"What?" The Vice Principal dug at his ear, wondering whether he had misheard.
You're telling me a coward like this is a Dragon King? And Norton, the most savage one, at that?
Old Tang ducked his head. He did not understand what they were talking about, only that it seemed to concern him.
"A Dragon King?!"
Angers's pupils contracted. He did not doubt Cao Ya. Instinctively, he moved to activate his word spirit, Time Zero, and draw his folding knife to kill Old Tang.
Cao Ya raised a hand and held Angers down. Golden light flashed, and his hand was like a mountain. Angers could not break free.
"Don't rush. Old Tang is Old Tang, and Norton is Norton. The one we want to kill is Norton, not this Old Tang," he said.
Angers said gravely:
"He is Norton. Even if he has a human consciousness, it's only temporary. When Norton awakens and memories spanning countless years come flooding back, Old Tang's fate... you should understand."
"At that point, there will be no person called Old Tang left in this world. There will only be the Bronze and Fire King named Norton!"
