August 24, Friday, clear

It had been almost a year since I last saw Liadrin. I missed her a little!

But that was probably just a normal reaction to suddenly relaxing after all that tension.

Some good news: at tonight's banquet, I defeated Khadgar, which led to Archmage Antonidas, leader of the Council of Six, taking me as his student!

Heh, life really was like a piece of chocolate. You never knew whether the next second would be bitter or sweet... A few days ago, I was still a "Wandering Mage" nobody cared about; now, my fortunes had taken a spectacular turn!

That mage named Ruin sent his apprentice to find me and apologize for what happened almost a year ago... Interesting, but the past was long past. There was no need for me to hold a grudge over some little incident from a year ago!

I would be moving into the Violet Citadel tomorrow. Thinking about it, I was rather looking forward to life there!

At The Pig and the Whistle inn

August 25, Saturday, cloudy

For the first time, I visited the area above the sixth floor of the Violet Citadel. Apparently, all of it belonged to my mentor, Archmage Antonidas.

The defenses here were formidable, and it was very safe!

At the Violet Citadel, I really got to know two new friends.

One was Khadgar, that little monster who reached the Fourth Ring at fourteen. I would skip his specific future titles-there were a few too many to list! We were roommates now. I had never imagined he would be such an amusing fellow. Apparently, being a goofball was something you were born with... Dealing with someone like him was quite pleasant! As long as he did not cause too much trouble.

The other was Kel'Thuzad!
