"Brother, did you need something?"
Ye Zuixi looked at Ye Chongyun curiously, wondering why he had suddenly come to see her and was looking at her so strangely.
Ye Chongyun stared at her with a faint, ambiguous smile. His expression made Ye Zuixi uneasy. "Zuixi, I've heard something. Do you want to know what it is?"
"Something? What is it?"
"Bad news."
Ye Chongyun watched Ye Zuixi's expression intently, hoping to find some trace of a clue. But he did not see what he had hoped to see.
Ye Zuixi took a deep breath, keeping her expression as calm as possible. "Go ahead, Brother. I'm prepared."
"Have you been in touch with Ji Hanxing lately, Zuixi?"
Startled by Ye Chongyun's sudden mention of Ji Hanxing, Ye Zuixi paused, then shook her head. "Brother Ji has been busy lately, and I've been busy with the exhibition hall. We haven't been in touch much."
"He's busy? Do you know what he's busy with?"
"He's busy meeting the parents with Yan Jinyue."
"Meeting the parents together?"
Ye Zuixi's face instantly turned pale. She murmured the words, looking as though she could not understand what Ye Chongyun had just said.
"Zuixi, don't you understand? Ji Hanxing is gay. He and Yan Jinyue are a couple. He's been lying to you," Ye Chongyun continued.
Ye Zuixi trembled. She could not believe what she was hearing. She had always thought Ji Hanxing had feelings for her. She had never expected that he already liked someone else-and a man, at that!
"That's impossible!" she cried, her voice filled with despair and resentment. She could not accept the truth Ye Chongyun had told her.
"Brother Ji, he treats me... he even gave me that street!"
"How could he not like me?"
