"Jiang Minjie, you really deserve to die!"
Shen Yu had originally felt guilty about his ambiguous relationship with Ji Cიცen, but then he heard the bit about waiting faithfully in a cold cave dwelling. Furious, he sprang up with a roar and stubbornly chased Jiang Minjie around the classroom, beating him.
"I was wrong, bro!"
"Ow! My ribs are setting sail today!"
"Help! Almighty Yu, have mercy!"
The classroom rang with wails and howls. Although the other students had already gone home, the scattered desks and chairs blocked Jiang Minjie's escape, and his thighbones took repeated hits.
"I was wrong! I really was wrong!"
"Ji the God, come save me! Your little deskmate has gone mad!"
Jiang Minjie howled as he ran, panting with exhaustion. Yet neither invoking an almighty ancestor nor calling on Ji Cიცen could shake Shen Yu's determination to get revenge.
"Now that you're in my hands, you've really met your match!"
Seeing Jiang Minjie clutching his thigh and spinning on the spot, Shen Yu approached with his hands on his hips, looking "vicious." He was considering where to strike next when he heard a commotion from the classroom next door.
"The teacher on duty this week is coming to check the cleaning!"
Jiang Minjie's leg immediately stopped hurting. He sprang up and got to work, wiping the windows with his right hand and sweeping the corners with his left.
Fortunately, their classroom was always clean, with only some larger bits of rubbish the students had dropped. Jiang Minjie managed to tie up the rubbish bag just before the inspecting teacher arrived.
Shen Yu tensed too, pricking up his ears at the clack of high heels in the corridor before taking up his pen and pretending to study hard.
The classroom finally quieted after all that commotion.
