As rival forces forced their own way through the Black Gate, a clash between great powers sent spatial turbulence into the passage and killed more than twenty cultivators.

• Qing Chen left for the Nine Nether Aristocratic Clans’ base, where Gong Shisan introduced him to Linghu Xuanji and the gathered clan cultivators.
• Qing Chen demonstrated his magnetic origin power, and Yan Moyou declared him a valued Core Disciple before clashing with Dugu Yifang.
• Qing Chen fortified his cave abode and spent five years mastering the Xiantian Primordial Magnetism Divine Vessel, then followed Yan Moyou to Yellow Sand Mountain.

Qing Chen crossed the forbidden grounds, uncovered the Treasure Pagoda’s ability to absorb Moyuan Qi, and was drawn into Blood Fiend’s Rebirth Furnace. Inside the Heartfire Blood Prison, he formed a fragile alliance with Qing Sanxiao and Five Gu True Lord as they sailed across a sea of blood.

• Qing Chen entered the forbidden grounds, fought Crystal Mo monsters, and discovered that the Treasure Pagoda could absorb their Black Crystals and produce Moyuan Qi.
• Qing Chen’s Blood Fiend Token activated the Rebirth Tower, exposing him to the gathered cultivators as the Crystal Mo Tribe attacked and forced everyone inside.
• The Rebirth Tower transformed into a furnace, where Blood Fiend tested Qing Chen’s resolve through the memory of Yun Zhao’s sacrifice and left him a Fire Seed Fragment.
• Qing Chen learned that the Heartfire Blood Prison’s entrants would hunt Crystal Mo Tribe members for Blood Fiend’s inheritance, then was transported to a boat on a sea of blood.
• Qing Chen, Qing Sanxiao, and Five Gu True Lord agreed to work together, concealed their separate scripture inheritances, and began learning to steer the boat.

Qing Chen and the others pursued Golden Toad Granny to stop her from gathering Fire Seed Fragments, then fought her as the Sea of Suffering Hell collapsed. The Rebirth Furnace appeared, and Li Hanyi prepared to use a one-time escape power while Qing Chen still held the Fire Lingzhu.

• Qing Chen, Qing Sanxiao, and Five Gu True Lord fought and killed the Jingmo Centipedes before encountering Flying Bear True Lord and his companions.
• Golden Toad Granny killed Silver Moon Wolf King, escaped with Wei Yixiao and two Fire Seed Fragments, and left Li Hanyi and the others to discover the empty Blood Sea.
• Flying Bear True Lord and Li Hanyi confronted Five Gu True Lord, who died when the Golden Cicada Gu triggered a Heart-Rending Gut-Breaking Gu explosion.

Qing Chen survived the Rebirth Furnace’s collapse, settled his grudges, and witnessed Blood Fiend and Huo Lifei negotiate over Yun Zhao, the Fire Seed Fragments, and a route out of the Nanhua Realm. After securing cultivation teachings and a sealed contract, Qing Chen remained in the forbidden grounds to recover and prepare for the Heavenly Devil Tower.

• Li Hanyi opened an escape through the collapsing Rebirth Furnace, and Qing Chen secured his Fire Seed Fragment before helping the wounded Tie Shou.
• Golden Toad Granny self-detonated, the Golden Toad Gu attacked Flying Bear True Lord, and Flying Bear True Lord died after giving Qing Chen his Fire Seed Fragment and Jade Slip.
• The Rebirth Furnace gathered the dead and their power to refine a Great Elixir, while Zhao Ningyi used the Fire Lingzhu to contest its net of Crystal Mo Tribe cores.

• Qing Chen, Huo Lifei, and Blood Fiend sealed their contract, then Blood Fiend and Huo Lifei left with the Rebirth Furnace and two Fire Seed Fragments as Qing Chen stayed behind with Tie Shou to recover.
