Inside Tsunade's Mansion~
The lights were dim, and the long table was chillingly quiet. Each woman ate with her head lowered, occupied by her own thoughts. Even their breathing carried tension; a single remark could turn the whole scene upside down.
Seeing the table full of beautiful women, Nawaki turned and gave Uchiha Lei a meaningful look, then stood and said to Mito Uzumaki:
"Grandma, I'm done with dinner. I'll be leaving now."
"Mm, I'm more or less finished too. You all carry on." Mito Uzumaki gave Uchiha Lei an indulgent smile, then rose and headed upstairs.
Only after Grandma Mito had disappeared completely did Tsunade's expression turn frighteningly dark. She raised her hand and slapped Uchiha Lei hard on the shoulder, asking in a low voice:
"Lei, where do you plan to have these two girls stay?"
"Are there no spare rooms in Tsunade's Mansion?" Uchiha Lei asked in return.
Tsunade's expression darkened further. She wrapped an arm around his neck and forced a smile. "I have something else to discuss with Lei. You all carry on."
"Tsunade, what could you possibly need me for... mmph!" Before Uchiha Lei could finish, Tsunade clamped a hand over his mouth.
Tsunade dragged Uchiha Lei into the stairwell, raised her hand, pinched his ear tightly, and twisted it a full turn counterclockwise.
"Ow, that hurts!" Uchiha Lei caught Tsunade's hand and forcibly pulled his ear free, demanding somewhat angrily, "Tsunade, what are you suddenly doing that for?"
"What am I doing? Aren't there enough women at home already? How many more do you want to bring back?"
Tsunade planted both hands on her hips, assuming the air of the senior wife as she questioned him sternly.
Uchiha Lei knew that securing his supreme position in the household required taking the initiative.
