Red wind chimes hung high above the entrance, swaying in the breeze and ringing with pleasant chimes.
The front door stood wide open. A red carpet covered the floor, running into the hallway and extending upstairs to the doors of the five women's rooms.
The first-floor living room~
Red balloons floated beneath the towering domed ceiling, and the surrounding decorations had changed from vibrant green to festive red.
Delicious dishes covered the long table. Nearby, five women dressed in red sat on the sofas, while Grandma Mito occupied the seat of honor, quietly awaiting the arrival of the two stars of the evening.
The sun sank in the west, and night quietly descended. The moon hung high overhead, spilling silver light over the streets.
The two returned with the Body Flicker Technique and walked into the room with light steps. They reached back to lock the door, then walked hand in hand to the sofa on the left.
Mito Uzumaki nodded. "Have a seat."
"Yes, Grandma Mito," they answered together, bending down to sit properly on the sofa.
There were more wrinkles on Mito Uzumaki's face, each bearing the marks of time. Her lips curved into a kindly smile.
"Lei, Kushina, congratulations. You're finally adults."
"Lei, Kushina, congratulations," the five women offered their blessings in unison, taking party poppers from behind their backs to celebrate again.
Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop~
Multicolored streamers rained down onto their heads, carrying the joy of celebration.
Their lips lifted into radiant smiles as they thanked everyone together. "Thank you all for your blessings."
"Kushina, Lei, add to the family bloodline soon. I'd still like to hold a grandchild before I die," Mito Uzumaki reminded them.
They nodded in agreement. "All right, Grandma Mito. We'll make sure to complete the mission."
