Fugaku couldn't take a beating

"What are you doing? Let go of Mikoto!"

Qianye Lan looked toward the voice and saw the man himself.

The newcomer was a young ninja whose nasolabial folds gave him an air of maturity beyond his years.

But his angry expression shattered that composure.

The nasolabial folds on Uchiha Fugaku's face twitched with anger as he said to Qianye Lan, enunciating every word, "Let. Go. Of. Her."

Qianye Lan looked at him disdainfully and deliberately tightened his arm around Uchiha Mikoto.

Caught off guard, Uchiha Mikoto was pulled over by his sudden exertion, pressing their bodies tightly together.

She rolled her eyes at Qianye Lan, but to Uchiha Fugaku, the two were flirting.

Uchiha Mikoto spoke up then. "Uchiha Fugaku, I've already told you I have someone I like. Would you please stop pestering me?"

Hearing her words, Uchiha Fugaku angrily pointed at Qianye Lan and said, "You've fallen for this brat? Why him?"

Keeping his arm around Uchiha Mikoto, Qianye Lan said, "Please stop pestering Big Sister Mikoto from now on. It's seriously off-putting."

After saying that, he gave Uchiha Fugaku a look of disgust.

Provoked by him, Uchiha Fugaku's expression shifted repeatedly, his eyes moving about as he thought about something unknown.

Meanwhile, Qianye Lan was feeling Uchiha Mikoto's astonishing assets.

They weren't apparent normally. Only after pressing close and carefully feeling them did he discover that Big Sister Mikoto's assets were far greater than Kushina's.

But Big Sister Mikoto was a few years older than Kushina, so Kushina's assets still had room to grow.

Uchiha Fugaku suddenly sneered. "Mikoto, do you really think you can fool me by finding some random brat?"

Uchiha Mikoto looked at him with disgust. "We're not close. Please use my full name, thank you."

If not for the elders in her family trying to match them up, she had no feelings for Fugaku at all.

At that thought, she turned to look at Qianye Lan again. Without you, I wouldn't even know what to do.

Hearing her words, Uchiha Fugaku retorted, "Mikoto, stop lying to me. This brat is just your teammate. There's nothing between you two at all."

Uchiha Mikoto finally reached the end of her patience. She grabbed Qianye Lan by the collar and took the initiative, kissing him.

A single touch set them ablaze.

She looked at Uchiha Fugaku and said icily, "Do you believe me now?"

Seeing this, Uchiha Fugaku's face turned completely green.

He clenched his fists tightly and stared at Qianye Lan without a word.

Qianye Lan also felt as though a venomous snake had set its sights on him.

Uchiha Fugaku looked at Qianye Lan and said in a chilling tone, "Sometimes, you need strength to protect beautiful things."

Qianye Lan's gaze sharpened at his words, and he sneered. "So what you're saying is..."

Uchiha Fugaku had regained his composure by then. "Defeat me, and Mikoto will be yours from now on."

Hearing his words, Uchiha Mikoto's eyes turned cold. She broke free of Qianye Lan's arm and stood in front of him. "Uchiha Fugaku, you seem to have misunderstood something. Who I belong to has always been for me alone to decide, not..."

Qianye Lan gently rested a hand on the angry Uchiha Mikoto's shoulder to soothe her.

Honestly, this was his first time seeing Big Sister Mikoto angry, too.

Qianye Lan shifted his gaze to Uchiha Fugaku's face. "No problem. But just as Mikoto said, who she belongs to is entirely up to her."

"I simply want to teach you a lesson."

Hearing Qianye Lan's somewhat arrogant words, Uchiha Fugaku sneered contemptuously. "Since you're young, I'll go easy on you. I won't use the Sharingan or ninjutsu. I'll fight you using only taijutsu."

Qianye Lan rolled his neck without expression, making a series of cracking sounds.

Uchiha Mikoto grabbed him and whispered in his ear, "Lan, have you lost your mind? He's so much older than you. Why bother with him? He's a lunatic."

Qianye Lan gently patted the back of Big Sister Mikoto's hand. "Don't worry. If I dare accept the challenge, I'm confident I can handle it."

Uchiha Mikoto could only keep cautioning him.

By then, Uchiha Fugaku had grown impatient watching their interaction and couldn't help saying, "Can you stop stalling? Fight if you can. If you can't, admit defeat!"

Hearing Uchiha Fugaku's provocation, Qianye Lan said to Mikoto, "Big Sister Mikoto, someone already can't wait to get thrashed."

With that, he took two steps forward, stood before Uchiha Fugaku, and met his eyes. "Right here?"

Quite a few Uchiha clan members had already gathered around to watch the spectacle.

They looked at Qianye Lan with unfriendly expressions.

Uchiha Fugaku stared fixedly at Qianye Lan, trying to find cowardice and fear in his eyes.

To his disappointment, however, Qianye Lan's eyes showed only a trace of contempt.

Uchiha Fugaku took a deep breath. "Then right here it is."

With that, he formed the Seal of Confrontation toward Qianye Lan. Seeing this, Qianye Lan also stepped back twice and formed the Seal of Confrontation.

One busybody from the Uchiha Clan saw this and came forward of his own accord. "Three, two, one, begin."

The two instantly charged at each other.

Every punch exchanged between Qianye Lan and Uchiha Fugaku struck flesh, giving the surrounding spectators a thoroughly satisfying show.

Only Uchiha Mikoto watched Qianye Lan with worry, her tightly clenched fists also revealing her inner unease.

Qianye Lan caught Uchiha Fugaku's fist with his left hand and squeezed hard.

Uchiha Fugaku's face immediately twisted with pain.

This brat's body-how was this possible?

He could only throw a high sweeping kick, trying to make Qianye Lan release him.

What Uchiha Fugaku hadn't expected was that Qianye Lan merely raised his right arm and took the kick head-on-a kick that could normally snap a tree as thick as the mouth of a bowl.

Instead, the powerful recoil actually left his left leg numb.

Qianye Lan grabbed him and pulled hard. Uchiha Fugaku failed to react in time and was dragged right in front of him.

Qianye Lan slammed a heavy punch into Fugaku's abdomen.

Forced to double over by the heavy blow, Uchiha Fugaku looked like a large shrimp, a somewhat comical sight.

He felt as though all his internal organs had been knocked out of place in that instant.

Uchiha Fugaku couldn't help spitting up a mouthful of bitter fluid.

Without mercy, Qianye Lan drove his knee up hard into his chin.

Severely struck, Uchiha Fugaku flew backward and crashed heavily to the ground, lying motionless. Only the slight rise and fall of his chest proved he was still alive.

Seeing this, Qianye Lan scratched his head in puzzlement.

He had definitely held back on that final knee strike. How had Fugaku passed out just like that?
