Taking the Ryūmyaku

Bang!

Amid a puff of white smoke, a pot that looked very much like a pickling jar appeared before Douyang.

The Queen of Roran looked at the Amber Purifying Pot and asked curiously, "What is that?"

While silently watching the Ryūmyaku with his Kokugan, Douyang said solemnly, "This is a Six Paths Tool for storing the Ryūmyaku. Once it bursts out, soothe it as much as you can. I'll seal it."

The Queen of Roran was momentarily dazed, and her interest in Douyang's origins grew.

A gale suddenly swept through the ruins, stirring up loose stones with a clattering sound.

A visible crack appeared in the altar and rapidly spread outward. Within a breath, dense cracks covered everything like a spiderweb.

The wind blew so hard that the Queen of Roran could not open her eyes. Bracing herself against a rock, she cried out, "Make haste, as the law commands!"

Douyang had to take the Ryūmyaku before Sunagakure's Anbu arrived.

Now an outsider was about to take it away.

But when she thought of her people living in dire suffering, the Queen of Roran's expression gradually grew resolute.

The Queen of Roran pointed into the air and shouted, "In the queen's name, make haste, as the law commands! Obey!"

As the Queen of Roran acted again, the Ryūmyaku's resistance gradually weakened. The fierce winds stopped, and its roaring fell silent.

The Queen of Roran really does have some inexplicable connection to the Ryūmyaku.

Unlike the relationship between Moryo and the Priestess Clan, it seems more like the contractual bond between a ninja and a summoning beast.

All the Ryūmyaku's chakra was now his.

Douyang glanced at the anxious Queen of Roran beside him and said gravely, "I promise you, I'll make proper use of the Ryūmyaku."

The Queen of Roran sighed softly. "Now that you have the Ryūmyaku, please honor your promise."

Looking toward Sunagakure, Douyang said solemnly, "Let's leave this place first."

Sunagakure ninja could appear at any moment. They should not linger in this trouble spot.

Before leaving, Douyang inspected the ruins of Rōran to ensure he had left no personal traces, then quickly departed with the Queen of Roran.

That afternoon, the two returned safely to the oasis.

After considering things for a moment, Douyang said, "Your Majesty, Sunagakure will soon discover that the Ryūmyaku has been stolen. They'll certainly come looking for you then, so you'd best leave the Land of Wind and settle elsewhere."

The Queen of Roran paled with fright. After a moment's thought, she felt that Douyang had a point.

In fact, many years earlier, Sunagakure's leaders had already tried to obtain the Ryūmyaku through the Queen of Roran.

They had only given up because they could not undo the seal Minato Namikaze had left behind.

Now that the Ryūmyaku had been stolen, if Sunagakure's leaders could not find the culprit, they would inevitably hold the Queen of Roran responsible.

Given the many incredible abilities ninja possessed, the Queen of Roran did not believe she could withstand interrogation by Sunagakure's ninja.
