The pirates were fairly capable overall, and their teamwork was even better.
That was Qiao Lun's assessment as he blocked their attacks. But that level of strength was nowhere near enough to defeat him.
He turned and pulled. With a ripping sound, Qiao Lun tore a large piece of the shadow cast by the building behind him straight off the ground. He gripped it like a sheet of canvas and wrapped it around the fist that had appeared out of thin air once again.
"Oh, no!" The pirate throwing the punch instantly realized something was wrong.
But it was too late!
The twisting, spinning shadow had already enveloped his fist. More importantly, it did not stop twisting just because it had wrapped around his fist!
Yet at that critical instant, a volleyball shot out from deep within the building behind them at tremendous speed, hurtling toward the shadow wrapped around the pirate's fist.
Powerful Nen was concentrated on the volleyball!
As it approached at terrifying speed, it looked less like a rescue attempt and more like an attempt to punch straight through both the shadow and the pirate's fist.
Qiao Lun frowned slightly and stepped back. The curled shadow in his hands released the pirate's fist and swept into the rapidly approaching volleyball in the same motion.
Qiao Lun rotated his body, turning the shadow in his hands with him. A deft, redirecting force tugged at the incoming volleyball, instantly pulling it off course and sending it crashing into the ground.
"Nice ability!"
Razor walked slowly over from behind, wearing sportswear that showed off his muscular physique to perfection. His narrowed eyes made it impossible to tell whether he was looking at Qiao Lun or at the shadow in Qiao Lun's hands, which he had shaken open again and which
