Or had this man simply been trained so thoroughly that he had become an utterly rigid machine, capable of doing nothing but following orders?
Xia Yan did not understand Murashima Takumi. The gap between their positions was simply far too great.
Moreover, the Anbu director was among the most mysterious people in all of Konoha. Almost everyone knew his name, but no one knew anything about him.
This was Xia Yan's first time interacting with the man at such close quarters, but disappointing was the only way to describe it.
Xia Yan felt he needed to learn more about this director. As it happened, barring any surprises, he would become a captain, giving them more opportunities to interact.
"Forget it. I wanted Murashima Takumi to deliver it for me, but that clearly isn't going to work."
