In this forest in Konoha, Shibi Aburame stared at Danzo with a rather grim expression.
Although the Aburame Clan was not a great clan in Konoha, it was certainly a recognized clan with considerable strength.
Shibi therefore had access to plenty of information, and naturally knew exactly what sort of character the damned old man standing before him was.
This man headed Root, Konoha's most mysterious organization.
His deeds could also be described as vile. Who knew how many of his own people he had attacked over mere suspicion, and quite a few of them had been innocent.
On top of that, he had even attempted to assassinate the Hokage. That went beyond Shibi's imagination.
Even if it was only a rumor, he was more inclined to believe it was all true, because Danzo really was capable of such things.
Most importantly, Danzo had already demanded people from the Aburame Clan more than once. Shibi had been furious, but had not dared voice it.
Now Danzo had approached him again. Although he had yet to say anything, Shibi had already guessed what he wanted, and it filled his heart with resentment.
"My purpose in coming to you is quite clear."
Danzo could see Shibi's displeasure, but did not care at all. Plenty of people in Konoha hated him, but none dared resist him. That was enough.
"Root has begun expanding. This is hardly a secret, since the Anbu are doing the same.
"So I need more people to strengthen Root, allowing us to better protect Konoha.
